Mexican Riviera Cruise with WONDERful Souvenir in the Works! 6/7 PTR Link!

YAY!! Seeing your baby and hearing the heartbeat for the first time is so AMAZING. It is so hard to believe that he/she is inside of you. Glad your appointment went well. My friend lost so much weight when she was pregnant in the beginning. I think she only gained 12 pounds altogether and she gave birth to a very healthy babygirl. My doctor had told me once that the baby gets everything they need from you so if you don't eat for a week (not that anyone plans to do that or she recommends that) the baby will be ok because it gets everything from you. It is good you are able to eat again with no problem.

It was SO amazing seeing the baby on the screen. Absolutely incredible! I'm slowly starting to gain a few pounds back so i'm happy!

Hi Lesha! Thanks for sharing your scan picture... so excited for you :goodvibes hope you have a great weekend and are feeling well.

Thanks Emma! :goodvibes

Aww how wonderful

Hope your business trip goes well :)

Thanks Linda. All went well with DH, but as for me, I got sick, but am feeling way better now!

Those ultrasound pictures are so amazing, arent they? So glad to hear you are feeling better!

I'm very much looking forward to my next one on March 20. That will be the beginning of my second trimester already!

Thanks so much for sharing, that is so cool!

Hi Pam! :)

I loved reading your trip report. We were on the Wonder to the MR exactly a year ago. We had a blast and your report is making me even more excited for our upcoming cruise this April.

Congrats on the new addition to your family!

Aw so awesome that you'll be going in April again! Have a great time!

So I was supposed to give the last few updates on my TR during my DH's business trip, but alas, I got sick and doing anything with reading or typing was not helping. So I slept and threw up most of the time, but now i'm feeling really good.

UPDATE! I'm going to Disneyland this weekend! :cool1: For the past few years in March we go for my birthday, since that's what I want, so this time we'll be staying at the Paradise Pier Concierge Level with Park View for our very first time! I'm excited that i'll be able to say that i've stayed at all the hotels of Disneyland now! :cool1: The only bad thing is that DH will not be able to make it. :sad1: And usually he's happy to not go to Disneyland, but this time, he's a little disappointed. He wanted to be with me at Disneyland while pregnant and relaxing, walking around the parks, not trying to get on rides. He suggested that me and him just go in a few months (WOAH :scared1: crazy right!?) I'll definitely miss, but I think we'll have a great time. Not sure how the crowds will be, but oh well. I've already made a list of rides in my phone that I can't ride (10 rides - maybe 11 because i'm not sure about Pirates of the Carribean, even though it has no restrictions on expecting mothers...worried about the drops I guess?)

I'm praying and hoping, that I will NOT get sick on this trip. In fact, i'm going to buy Vitamin B-6 for nausea and look into those seabands (what my doctor told me I can do for my all day sickness) to make sure I don't get sick. That would be just awful.

Talk to you all soon!

Happy Birthday! What day? I'm a late March birthday myself. I'm sorry DH won't be able to go, are you taking some friends or your mom perhaps? hope you have a fabulous time and fingers are crossed you don't get sick. Take lots of pictures, I'm sure I don't have to say that but just in case :)

Have a great time! Who is it? Just you and your mom? I'm sure you'll take it easy and have a great time! Let me know if you want some company and perhaps we can swing it out there! :lmao:

I have been enjoying your trip report and pictures, especially the excursion photos from Puerto Vallarta. Congratulations on your pregnancy!

Holy Calrissian! I've been gone for a VERY long time. I was on for a little bit right before my Disneyland trip just to get information about the hotel, but that's it!

As you can imagine, i've been REALLY sick. Like, I'm not sure if this is normal. I have about 4 or 5 friends/acquaintances that are pregnant right now and don't feel how i'm feeling. Thank GOODNESS my appointment is next Tuesday so I can talk to my doctor about this.

On another note, the Disney trip was a complete.....SUCCESS! I didn't get sick (well, at least not to the extent that I normally do) and i'm wondering if it's from walking around, being busy. I was able to eat really good (didn't say healthy, but was able to put things in my stomach and not see them later :lmao::scared1:)

I'm SO SO SORRY about not updating the last part of my TR yet, but I hope to sometime soon, before this thread gets shut down.

I HATE updating on my TR without reading up on my subscribed threads first, but to those that i'm following, I PROMISE i'll be back on to catch up. But right now, I need to lay down and watch Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. Afraid to say this, but I just BARELY got around to watching the Pirates movies, and now that i'm done with the first one, on to the next!

Talk to you all soon! :goodvibes

Some people have one time of day...others it is all day. For most people it getts better by 12-16 weeks. I hope you feel better soon.

It really is different for every person. With both of my kids I was very sick and lost 25 pounds each time before I gained any weight back. I was sick for about 6 months with my second one--with my first one I was still puking the morning I delivered!

Definitely talk to your doctor, but know that you aren't alone. Both of my babies were 7 pounds 2 oz and perfectly healthy--they make sure they take care of themselves first in there. :goodvibes

I may give a small update about our trip because the room was phenomenal and I have to share it with everyone!

So were you there for the bomb scare?

Yes I was! :lmao: Luckily my mom and I were running behind and I was kinda tired already. My brother and sis-in-law left the room after 8:30 and we didn't leave until closer to 9 but right when we were walking into the GCH lobby, my brother called and said that security was not letting anyone through due to a suspicious package. Luckily there were lots of chairs by the fireplace so we took a seat for a bit before they reopened the park.

I'm definitely going to be asking my doctor on Tuesday. I bought the B12 or B6 that she recommended (Can't remember off the top of my head which one it is) but that seemed to make it worse :confused3 I've also bought the ginger candy and ginger ale and that doesn't do much. I'm REALLY praying and hoping that these symptoms die down soon, because this really leaves me not wanting anymore after this.

I'm so sorry you're feeling so awful! The good news is that once your baby is born... you'll forget all about it!!

Anyway, I'm glad you were able to have a great time at Disneyland. Happy birthday! :goodvibes

Congratulations on your pregnancy!!

Unfortunately, I have to disagree with the previous poster. If you are that sick (I was and worse) you never forget it. You look at your baby and know they were worth it!!

My friend with an 18 month old still remembers all of it and swears that her son is still going to be an only child!

I'm trying to tell myself it will all be worth it when I get to hold her/him for the first time, but I just can't get over how horrible the past 6 weeks have been and I can completely understand where suzanne and alisons friend are coming from. And i've been hearing different things about how the second pregnancy can make you feel. I've heard that the first pregnancy is rough and the second one is better, but then i've heard that if you have morning sickness with the first one, you'll get it way worse with the next ones. DH keeps asking, "You're not going to want anymore huh?" I know he's concerned with me being sick everyday because he asks me everyday when he gets home from work, "How much did you eat today? Did you drink enough fluids and eat enough calories?":lmao: But I also know he wants a few babies. Especially since I have a strong feeling this one is a girl, and he would love a boy to teach him football and baseball since he's coaches at a high school for both sports.

I guess I was just thinking about my own experience :goodvibes Once we decided to try for #2 all the memories of sickness, backaches, crazy birth seemed to fly out the window. When I actually GOT pregnant with #2, thats when I started to remember again!! :lmao: I was like "WHY did I want to get pregnant again??!" :rotfl:

They were both totally worth it though

Hi everyone! Hope you guys are doing well.

Okay, so Tuesday I went to my scheduled DR's appt to see how i'm doing and the baby's doing. I told her I was doing horrible, getting up in the middle of the night to throw up, throwing up first thing in the morning, twice during the day, and right before I go to bed. She didn't like the sound I was making when talking (raspy and scratchy sounding) and asked if it was from throwing up. Guess I didn't notice, but since i'm not catching a cold, it must have been. She prescribed me Zofran for the nausea (is used for cancer patients when they're taking chemo for their nausea as well) and OH MY GOSH....I feel like a COMPLETELY new person. I even started crying the first morning I woke up because I felt so great and didn't wake up once during the night to throw up or turn over. I can't believe I didn't call earlier to ask for a prescription sooner.

Okay, now to stop being selfish ;)...the baby seems to be doing fine. Heard the heartbeat for the first time and she said it was 160 which is good. She noticed how little I am when I lifted up my shirt and said I may not be too big for this pregnancy. Only time will tell I guess! Also, i've only gained 1 pound since my last check-up, so I haven't gained back all that i've lost yet, but i'm hoping with this medication, i'll be able to start eating normal again.

I'm happy to say that i'm actually at a happy point in my pregnancy. I'm feeling better, walking around, able to work, etc. I'm not regretting doing this anymore and not threatening my DH with, "This is the first and last one" anymore :lmao: Next appt is in 3 weeks!

Okay, so yesterday I went to upload the rest of my pictures to update the last of this TR (thought I had done it a looong time ago but didn't) but now i'm having freezing issues with my account. Thought it was maybe just the website acting up that day and decided to wait until this morning to try again. Same thing. I contacted Photobucket support so hopefully they can help me figure out what's going on so I can continue with my TR.

I am so glad to hear that you are feeling better
It sounds like you have really been through it :(
Hopefully it will be plain sailing now (pun intended!)

Oh my goodness! I'm so glad the doctor had something to help. I can't imagine what you've been feeling like.

I'm glad you're feeling better. I was getting worried about you. While taking medication is not always ideal, sometimes it's better than the alternative. I hope everything comes along for you!
