Disney Destinations sends them out, which I think is just the Walt Disney Travel Company. I'm registered at disneyworld.com and checked yes to receive email from them about specials, and I also ordered the planning DVD a few weeks ago. I heard that by doing this I would increase my chances of getting a discount code (that's why I love these boards!).

Yeah, I think the last time we used them it was still the Disney Travel Company. You know we are registered with disneyworld.com but have been on there in ages. Nor have we sent for a planning dvd in a very long time. I'll have to go do that again. We have added a day before or after at the less expensive resorts & have thought about doing weekends elsewhere to save points. It sounds like we might be missing out on some very good deals. Thanks!

Yeah... definitely a longshot, but wouldn't that be a dream come true?

I think I would still like to Florida though now and then.... I just love it there.

Well, we all know the politicians couldn't get enough money in their pockets when Disney was considering LA some 30+ years ago. And our politicians surely haven't changed any!

I'll be pleased if they manage a booth at F&W fest, but I'm not holding my breath on that one either!

I had my first meeting with my Board of Directors today since my employee left and I was absolutely stunned to find out that she'd been complaining to them for the past 5 years about how much time I had to take off to take care of my parents. They told me that her complaints meant nothing to them and they told her that repeatedly. I am having a hard time understanding how someone could be so cold hearted.

Well i havent caught up on all that has gone on since i was gone. Obviously i have missed something, but get kinda what you are saying.
Ya know girl, not everyone is as kind and loving and caring well just plain FABULOUS as you are ... well and heck no one is as great as WE are... so ya know what i say ... F THAT WITCH, yup girls i said it and said it loud. Some people are just jealous snotty whiney witches who love to complain about anything and everyone and ya cant take stock in anything they say.

LOL i guess my cold medicine has kicked in cuz i just reread that and i sound a little witchy which means my filter isnt working ; ) Oh well still mean all i said!

While I tend to be a little less boisterous than my good friend Jenny, I have to say I am in total agreement with her on this!

I am so sorry that this has hit you like a ton of bricks! But that is exactly the type of women I dealt with in my many years working in several different offices! They will be super nice to your face & turn around and bad mouth you to the supervisors! I have termed that they be called : witches & -itche for many many years,now.. I could literally give you an earful over some of the crap that has happened to me, from girls I truly believed were dear friends!
You are very very lucky, that the company was wiser than she was & stood behind you. I was not that lucky! I really really understand how hard this is!

Morning all.. while it may not be Monday, its def. laundry day around here LOL. I also hope to do a bit of yard work, gotta get some exercise in.

Jack and I are off tomorrow to Henderson to spend some time at my best friend from h.s. camp there. We havent been in touch in about 15 yrs, due to a nasty boy, but she found me on MySpace and we have been chatting for several months. Turns out she named her middle daughter after me... LOL how crazy is that!
Anyway, im super exicted, im hoping we will pick up right where we left off minus the boy issue

So what are we doing for our April meet!?
Any suggestions? Yall know im always up for eating LOL!

Im not planning on bringing Chad he is working i believe. Now depending on a sitter I may or maynot have to bring Jack, but as some of ya know he isnt much trouble. TRUST ME though I will try and do what i can to get a sitter and dont think it will be real problem.

Lori - You nailed it, she has had a perfect life with no struggles. When her parents do become needy she's got four sisters who will be there. Her family is in California.

I am feeling better every day about what has transpired, everything happens for a reason.
