Heygals, Paul WAS offered a job in Houston, but we are awaiting the financial offer before we take it-that part hasn;t been worked out yet.
She called him today and said she thought he'd be pleased with it but one more person had to sign off on it. We'll see.

DD9 has a birthday party, DD11 was invited too, but I may see if she wants to come with me on Saturday. It is for a younger, but close friend of ours.

I am so wiped out right now. Chapelle's grandparents day was today and I've been up since 5am this morning working on floral arrangements and favors, then going to Grandparents' day and working it. I need some caffeine. It was fun though, and I think everyone had a good time.

Lorie... EVERYONE has name advice... what is important is whether or not you like it, won't cringe when yelling it in public.... but I will admit my feelings were hurt when I was pregnant with Fletcher and was asked whether we were gonna come up with another soap opera name... grrr

I did look just now. REALLY freaking expensive. $294 for the flight down and $339 for the flight back. And they are FULL. Only one seat left on each flight! In comparison, we paid $89 each for our flight down on June 30.

I couldn't be out of town two weekends in a row, though. I'm still trying to recover from being out of town all of last weekend.

My DH is packing up the kitchen right now. Of all rooms he starts there. I didn't get the paperwork out; he is going to take it to the post office in the morning. We are confused by how the background check thing works; I got two different answers from two people and on paper it's different information still.

That job sounds like a good fit for Kyle; he should be great at it.

I don't know what twitter is either... I'm in the stone ages. My cell phone doesn't even take pictures (and I can barely text on it). DH says my phone is so old it is embarassing and keeps bugging me to get a new one.

As far as the middle name goes, it wasn't the fact that she didn't like it that hurt my feelings. That's fine- not everyone likes the same things. But she could have said "I don't care for that" or "I prefer traditional names" or something like that. She didn't have to make fun- that is what bugged me. Honestly, I see no reason for anyone to twitter. It seems to be a simplified version of fb, that's why the celebs seem to get the hang of it. The news channels use it as it's a quick way of getting messages out which has proved to be very useful.

Speaking of Facebook, my brother is putting odd comments on all my stuff. Stuff like "what's with these stupid quizzes" and "What's the point of this" and "boycott Louisiana!".

You wanna hear something wild? Last night I get a text message that says that TODAY is when the money is due for the Chevy's field trip. Well, it's $11 per kid and $14 per adult. I have had 2 kids pay. So basically they want me to spot my class the money - about $200+ worth! I do NOT think so! But if we don't pay, the trip gets canceled. So now I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place.

It just might be another looooooong kinda day today.

Lori - I don't "get" twitter either.

Lorie - I'm sorry you're getting rude comments too. Especially about the name. Maybe she's just jealous she didn't think of it first. In fact, I think their was a Seinfeld episode about that. They were going to name the baby Seven, got laughed at, then the person who laughed stole the name because they had a baby first!

I did something totally totally stupid yesterday! I was feeling really good for once, right? So what do I go & do, yeah fall down. I was starting to get dinner together. I opened my big pot drawer on the bottom, went to get something out of fridge, turned around & forgot the drawer was open! Whacked the heck out of my shin & then fell on to the ceramic floor! It was one of those times where everything slows down & I had so much go through my head in those few seconds it took to fall. "Oh no, how could I be so stupid, I am not going to fall down, I'm not going to fall into the drawer! Oh no, I'm going to hit the floor & ruin my recovery!" I had mentally berated myself in those seconds.

I took ibuprofen & starting icing, my shin, neck & back right away. I'm not hurting as bad as I expected, but all the numbness is back & full on.

So I got a Shark steam mop/cleaner and used it on my bedroom floor. I wasn't that impressed- it looks about the same. By the rave reviews I've seen of the Shark, I expected it to not only make my floor spotless, but to fix me breakfast too! Oh well, I guess Bob Vila couldn't even fix this old house!

No this friend doesn't have children. She also made a crack about Sienna not being potty trained yet (yeah, I've given up on that for now. But that's a whole other story...). This is also the friend that blasted me when I told her that we were thinking about homeschooling Sienna. That's all I'm going to say right now- I don't want to be ugly...

I'm so sorry about the fall! I hope it doesn't cause too much discomfort. I have to say though that it is totally something that I would do... I always find interesting ways to injure myself.

Well y'all will have to forgive me, but I'm going to be super casual tomorrow- shorts, t-shirt, flip flops. That's really all that fits me now!

And it is an old, close friend, so sometimes I wonder if she thinks that familiarity gives her license to be rude and untactful sometimes. But y'all do build me up. I think that if all I ever listened to are my mommy-competitive friends, I'd go insane.
