Yea!!! Y'all pulled off the surprise!!!!!!! I saw the pictures and the shower looked like so much fun. July 11-that's the date of Rouse's daughter's wedding in New Orleans. I think I might just have to miss it so I can finally meet all of you!!

So far I'm being quite productive...I spent about 2 hours trying to catch up on WFD thread. Now I'm uploading some Boston pictures.

I find the photo thing so tedious. I have no idea why, but it explains the chaos that is my current photo situation....it is my July project to sort them and get scrapbooks done. The thought is actually a bit overwhelming but it's been bugging me for years so it's time to deal with it. I can't enjoy them in their current unsorted state.

I want to go look at the car I want today, but I might wait until next weekend. I think I'm going to start running on borrowed time with this cool weather we are having and I really ought to clean out the un-airconditioned portions (as in, my whole apartment minus the living room and bedroom) of my apartment sooner rather than later.

We are taking the dogs to Pawty at the Lake today. Its a festival for pets from 11am-4pm out here in Laketown Kenner. The Topcats are playing the festival. It should be fun.

Just wanted to say again: I had a great time yesterday at Lorie's shower. I wish I had a piece of that chocolate marble cake in front of me right now

oh I would hate to have you miss a wedding! the date really isn't set in stone yet...but Shovan is having surgery 7/15 and we wanted to have it before then if possible.

as a suggestion, some of us have been looking at this thing called Corks and Canvas http://www.corksncanvas.com/index.php - they have a family day on Sun 7/5 but not sure who is going out of town that weekend....for a private party it costs $35 - $45 per person depending on the painting, but we have to guarantee at least 20 people.....I think it is pre-printed, you just paint on it with guidance. you can bring drinks and food (yes alcohol if u like) and sounds like fun....

She's been walking around today with her play birthday cake set and has been singing "Happy Birthday" and passing out slices of cake to her stuffed animals. In her mind, the party just continues!

When the baby is born and you are ready to get out again.. I say we all must have cake again and meet the little guy LOL!

DH and I went to Ursuline's New Parent meet and greet last night and it was nice...we then took advantage of couple time to head out to the theatre to catch a movie. We ended up seeing Angels and Devils. It was really good.

I have been cleaning and cooking since about 11. It feels as if I have been out of it lately. My house looks a mess...don't get me wrong dh has been doing a good job of cleaning however we are pack rats and stuff is everywhere. So needless to say I have filled 3 tall garbage bags of stuff!

Kodi is looking out the window and barking up a storm at the neighbors...WTH. I need to let her be around more people.

Okay guys I need a friendly ear.....Lately I have been really thinking about this opportunity I have accepted in Jackson. Yes it is a good managerial job however due to the continued delay in the spin date I am having second thoughts. I can not pay for an apartment in Jackson as well as a mortgage here in NOLA. DD will be starting UA in the fall and I absolutely hate that I will not be around to enjoy this experience with her. Yes her father, grandmother and my best friend will be here to help however it won't be the same as if I was here. It doesn't help that DH has not found a job yet either. So I am geering towards finding another job with Entergy that will keep me in the NOLA area. I have not mentioned to anyone yet but I will start actively looking this week. I need reassurance that I am doing the right thing. :guilty

I hear you on the cleaning thing...my DH is not a packrat but I am one. I've been doing what I think is a pretty good job of thinning things out as I pack.

I think you are doing the right thing looking for a position that doesn't require moving or being away from your family.


Okay....so I went to go get dressed to go look at the car. The place is open from 11-4 on Sundays. Well, I had this nasty coughing fit that came outta nowhere and I ended up laying down and sleeping from 11:30-4:30. So much for going to look at the car. I guess I will go next weekend (which is a blissful 3 DAYS!!).
