Hey Dis family if you dont have Facebook... Sammie girl passed today . : (.

Love you Kathy.

Kathy - I'm so sorry :sad1::hug:

Did they give you a diagnosis, at least?

Please keep Erik in your thoughts today as he is running a fever again.

Julie- You must be talking about Teva Mush! I live in those all summer- they are awesome!! Actually, I have the Teva Olowahus- they are the more strappy version of the Teva Mush, and look a little more snazzy. Bethany's got a couple of pairs too, so she can vouch for me as to their greatness. Anyway, I've always bought mine online- I've never seen them locally. Maybe Massey's? I'd give them a call to see.

Bethany- I'm glad things are a definite improvement over here! See, we're not all that bad....;)

 for Erik. How's he doing now?

Yes, I have some (errr....3 pairs of) Teva flip flops. I find them both nicer looking and more comfortable to walk in than Crocs. I ordered 2 pairs of mine from Sierra Trading Post online after buying one pair at an REI store and loving them....maybe sporting goods stores here have them?

 Yes, definite improvement!

Thanks for all the well wishes, I'm feeling a bit better. I had pulled my back out and didn't let it get better before I went back to the gym and really messed it up. I'm taking it easy for a few days.

Just got a call from the attorney's office that is handling the closing, looks like it'll be done by Wednesday!

 I hope your back is feeling better now, but :woohoo: on the closing!!

Bethany - told ya it was better here! so glad that you don't have to go through that anymore, although I know you empathize with those left behind...

I had a migraine this AM - prob cause of all the rain...took meds early so feeing better now...nose has been a little stuffy

anyone not going to the game want to get together and watch LSU? I love to watch just hate to watch alone...you can come over here or I can go over there...

and I forgot to post here but my REFI WENT THROUGH!!! :worship:

I'm glad too. :)

I had a minor headache this afternoon, but my bigger problem is the sheer exhaustion. All this rain has made me so tired I came home and went straight to bed. I had the phone next to me on "loud" and missed 2 calls, slept through the alarm I set, and my DH telling me to eat dinner. Oops. :confused3

I'd watch the game with you (maybe another week since I don't have cable and CAN'T watch games) but I'll be out of town. :upsidedow

:woohoo: On the refinance!

OK, I have to mention this before the moment ends, but my girls are up in Ashton's loftbed together(that is the amazing part) listening to music and chatting:eek:. it's not that they do not get along, but Ashton has been growing up so fast lately and needing her own time and space and complaining her sister doesn't give her that. But Haley just looks up to her a lot more than she will admit. Is this the Disney magic happening already?:wizard:

Pray for light rain b/c Haley is nervous about flying tomorrow as it is.

My friends left today and they are already past Mobile- they are taking 2 days to get there. This is their first trip to WDW!!! I think I am more excited for them:laughing:. I'd love to be a fly on Main Street on Sunday......

Awwww, that is so cute about your girls! :goodvibes

 for Haley and the flight. I can relate. I HATE flying but few people believe me since I usually fly every few months or so.

That is great about your friends! But um, why do you have to be a fly on Main Street? Can't you actually BE on Main Street on Sunday? :confused3

Kathy I am thinking of you.

Hey Dis family if you dont have Facebook... Sammie girl passed today . : (.

Love you Kathy.

 I'm so sorry Kathy. Is there anything we can do for you?

Kathy- I read about Sammie on FB- I'm so, so sorry....

Kristina- I'm gald the refi finally went through- some relief for you now!

Erik isn't doing any better. His fever hasn't broken, even with Tylenol. The dr's office took forever to call me back, and by the time they did it was too late to bring him in. We have an appt first thing tomorrow morning. Poor Erik is miserable, and I'm a wreck right now. :guilty:

Kathy, I don't check FB. I'm so sorry to have read here about Sammie. You're in my heart, take care:hug:.

Poor Erik! I hope that he feels better soon. Try to rest.

Lorie - sorry that Erik is still sick. I hope the doctor can do something for him tomorrow. I know how hard it is to not be able to make it all better.

Kathy - so sorry for your loss. I know how much Sammie meant to you. :grouphug::flower3:

Lori - do you have Motrin...switch back and forth between that and tylenol. It helps better with fevers and it is not good to give tylenol continuously due to stomache problems. IHTH!

Kathy, My internet was down for several hours. I just read the sad news. My heart goes out to you right now. I know how painful making that decision can be.

Lorie, What Ms T said about alternating between Tylenol & Motrin really is okay to do & I know it works on A's fevers. Prayers for Erik & you!

So for the last four years on this date, I could look out my living room window and see the blue towers of light. I almost just went to look out the window and then realized I can't see them from here.

Hey y'all!

Just a quick checkin before the dr's appt. His fever broke early this morning- yay! He seems much better now. We're still going to the dr's office though, but I may have to fight her if she wants to run all of those tests since his fever is gone now. Well, I don't want him catheterized again- the swab tests are fine.

I do the motrin/tylenol switch with Sienna when she's sick, but unfortunately you can't give motrin to babies younger than 6 months old. I was leery about giving him all of that Tylenol too. That's another reason why they get so alarmed with fever in babies this young- you don't have a lot of choices with treatment.

Lots of rain today- everyone stay dry! :umbrella:

Thanks to all of you for you kind words of support, it really helps me get through this. It was terribly hard to do but the mass on her liver was huge and the vet said she would deteriorate fast so I had to let my girl go. As y'all know Kyle left for school, now my baby is gone, it's eerily quiet now. Hopefully time will make it better, all I can do is hug her blanket an hold her collar. Sorry I'm so depressing.

Lorie, please keep us updated about Erik.

Kathy, :grouphug: Words cannot express how sad I am right now for you. Please let me know if there's anything I can do.

So Erik went to the doctor and they did another flu swab- negative. :confused3 She didn't run anymore tests though (thank goodness!) because he seems to be improving. So he has been labeled again with "just another funky virus". Hopefully he'll continue to improve and be my sweet baby soon!

Well I went ahead and got myself an iPhone today....I have been wanting one for a while so I just took the plunge. I LOVE IT! :woohoo:

Ok now this is driving me crazy and I am not Erik's mother....I am glad his fever broke.

I had not idea how close you can get to a dog until I got Kodi. She's definately my other child and i would too be heartbroken. Please know that I am here for you.

:hug:You're not depressing. You're grieving as we all would be if we lost a beloved pet.

Can I tell you how much I hate a virus diagnosis?!
If the doctors had thought 'out the box', Rie's bladder infection would have been caught earlier. How hard would it have been to get a urinalysis while doing the 4 or 5 blood tests they did over the last 6 weeks?
Yesterday, when I went to pick her up from school, I arrived early, so that I could run in and talk to her guidance counselor. Rie's report card is going to be awful. Missing those days has hit hard. So, Tim, the guidance counselor, and I are meeting with her teachers on Monday morning. We're going to ask them to seat her front and center in the class to make sure she gets all the lesson instruction. Rie has a learning disability-ADD- and she has had problems with every medication we've tried. She'll also either be on probation with the cheer squad or put off the squad. Hopefully, because her illness impacted her grades, she'll only get probation.
It's God's will not mine. I'm so depressed- thank God, I started on the Prozac again.
