In addition to PP's comments, I will warn you that the assembly directions given go very fast. I guess it's the pastry chef walking you through it- he can do it very quickly and we were racing to keep up. As soon as the session ends, they rush you out - finished or not. There will be another session they need to set up for.

I will also add that the frosting holding the pieces together has no time to dry so your "house" will not be very structurally sound. Ours has a significant lean by the time it got to our stateroom. But it still tasted and smelled yummy!

We did it last December on the Dream. We got our tickets at guest services as soon as we got on the ship. It is first come first served for the spots so I don't know what was available. You get whatever is available at that moment and don't get a choice. Ours were for the morning of our Castaway Cay day (which was the first full day of our weird itinerary trip.) It was a lot of fun and my daughter really enjoyed it. Like another poster said, they do rush you through and rush you out, so build quickly. It was a great snack to have every time we walked into our stateroom. We didn't feel guilty about eating it like we do when we make them at home because we knew we couldn't take it off the ship.

Are tickets at Guest Services or the Port Adventure desk? Last year it was the Port Adventure desk. That is what I am trying to find out so I am not running around hunting them.

Yes I know where to look in the navigator. Was trying to find out before our cruise though where the 2017 ones that have cruised already went so I could plan our arrival a bit.

I cruise with my adult sister. So, us two adults did it. We enjoyed it. There were some other adult only families doing it too in addition to lots of families with kids.

We were on the Dream last week and did the gingerbread house. We booked at guest services right when we got on. We boarded sort of late (1:30) and there were only a couple of times that worked for us because of other things that we were doing. We ended up doing it on Castaway Cay day at 9am. If you want to do it, I'd strongly advise you to sign up as you board, it is easy to miss the signup announcement in the Navigator if you weren't looking for it.
The houses appear to be the pre-packaged store bought kind. It is still a fun event.

We did the gingerbread house on Saturday. We were group 2 to board and the times available weren't great. We chose Nassau day at 11:30. There is one house per family.The house is the premade one you can buy at the store but the icing looked like it was made on board. It was in a pastry bag. and they gave 3 little bags of candy. The pastry chef told you how to put the house together and then you had a little time to put the candy on. We felt rushed. Some people's houses collapsed and were thrown out. We brought ours back to our cabin and left it there. You cannot bring them home. it was fun! I don't think we would do it again though.

It is so yummy! We didn't want to take apart our house to eat it, but luckily our elf started that for us. Then we didn't feel bad about eating it! Take an empty soda cup with a lid so you can take all your roly poly candies safely back to your cabin!

I was on the Dream 11/7 too. I didn't register until after 2 after trying to correct a cabin issue. I was offered one of 2 times 1230 and 130. They are commercially prepared they are in a sealed package. the good think is they use their own icing so there is no limit. it is very rushed putting it together bug definitely a fun thing to do

The "later" posts re the Dream are encouraging. We have transportation from a Disney hotel and I fear the tickets will be long gone by the time we get there.

It was about 2004 when I made my gingerbread house on the Magic. I got tickets and signed up for it at Guest Services as soon as I got on the ship. It was a fun activity!!
