Men and Crocs

Guys, do any of you actually wear these things?

  • sure do, wouldn't leave the resort without them.

  • No way, I wouldn't be caught dead out in public wearing them.

All I can say is I wish I bought Croc stock when they started the company....

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I just ordered a pair for myself (I LOVE them!) I also ordered some for dd (5), ds (4) & ds (2). We all love them.

I told DH he was getting a pair for fathers day and he just kinda laughed at me.

HOWEVER, I did catch him slipping his foot into mine to see what all the fuss was about. :rotfl: When I asked him what he thought, he just rolled his eyes. Theres hope yet. :lmao:

Absolutely. Size 13 (or equivalent), Lime Green, with and without color-contrasting (bright red, lemon yellow, royal blue) socks. Besides the comfort factor, the idea is to embarrass the kids. But after a few days, they began to rely on being able to spot my big, bright feet in a crowd. :cool2:

Uhhhmm... I am going to have to go with no. I am sorry but they remind me to much of Jelly's, those shoes that girls used to wear in the 80's. Just will never be able to bring myself to wear them. BUT both of my DS's have a pair and they look fine on them.

Our entire family wore Crocs for our trip last June.

My wife and have 4 boys (well the baby didn't wear Crocs). So that is 4 guys in ONE family that wore Crocs, including my wife.

8 days of Disney - 10 blister free feet - 10 non-sweaty, stinky feet

Crocs Rock!

My wife just bought me my first pair of Crocs at Nordstrom's today. I wear a 10.5 and Crocs only come in whole sizes. The salesperson told her to go down a size for my feet (so to 10) but they feel too small against my toes (I guess I have extra long toes). I'm going to try the 11 size to see if that will work better.

Having tried them on for the first time, though, they are extremely comfortable for walking. Way more comfortable than I thought they would be. I see why they are my kids' favorite shoes.

I'm not a guy, but I gotta tell you that I think crocs are the dumbest looking shoe EVER!!! Well, maybe suitable for kiddies--but for a grownup man or woman....nahhhhh. And, before anyone asks, I have tried them on and agree that they feel good on the foot--but then again, so do my Nike's and no one mistakes me for Minnie Mouse.:)

:thumbsup2

My dh found a pair of genuine Crocs (navy blue) at a thrift shop for $3.00. He bought them and wears them around the house. He'll be bringing them to Disney. He swears they are the most comfortable shoes ever!

I see people wearing them all over here in Hawaii, but I don't own a pair myself...yet. DF thinks they are dorky, I don't think they are that bad, they seem to serve a purpose. But when I saw the new Pirates Crocs, I totally want a pair now. If only I can get DF to be seen with me in public while wearing them...

But I voted yes because I would definitely wear the new pirate crocs. :thumbsup2

Do they get slippery when it rains? Not croc to pavement slippery, but foot slipping around within croc slippery.

They were originally (and still are) marketed to boaters and our local boat supply store, West Maine, has a display as big if not bigger than the Hallmark or Bass Pro. To be used for boat shoes there can be NO sliding either shoe to deck or foot to shoe and they are non-marking.

I am a husband of 17 years(to the same woman) with 2 kids. At 42 years old, I have come to terms with a lot of things. One is wearing Crocs out in public. They gave me a pair of Mickey Crocs for Christmas, so I began wearing them around the house. Then I ventured out to eat, then the mall, etc.

Bottom line, they are the most comfortable shoes ever on my feet. I might get a few looks, but Im OK with that. I wear work boots all day, so coming home to the comfort of Crocs, my feet say AHHHHHHH.

I will for the 1st time be wearing Crocs at WDW in June.

It may not be too late to get in on the wave. I just purchased 100 shares the other day. Its volatile for sure, but still good potential.

I just bought my DH his first pair of crocs Off Roads yesterday (for our Disney trip at the end of May). I thought he was going to say they were dorky but this morning he got up at 5 am to go fishing and he slipped them on and walked right out the door! One of the other fishermen had on a pair too. I guess that's why we always see them at the Fish and Tackle places.

Here's the deal. After reading so much about Crocs on here, I decided to go out and get some for my upcoming trip. My question is do very many men wear these god awful looking sandels? I understand they are comfortable and what not. But, I'm just not sure I can be seen out in public wearing these. Fellas, convince me to wear my Crocs.

I'm sorry I can't help on this! My 22 y.o. DBf is one that "would not be caught dead in them." lol! Funny I see this thread because I was just saying I should buy some for our WDW trip. His reply...no! Even to me wearing them :P lol!

Have you looked at the new more manly version they have at Dick's this year?
They have various sports designs now to include NFL teams. My Dh just got a pair.

So so far it's 89 who say yes to wearing them, and 60 that say no. In spite of this, let me assure you that MOST men at WDW do not wear these things. I have a feeling that a good deal of the voting on here has not been by men. I guess you know how I voted. :)

Suit yourself, I think Crocs are great!!

And yes, I did vote for MYSELF!
