Men and Crocs

Guys, do any of you actually wear these things?

  • sure do, wouldn't leave the resort without them.

  • No way, I wouldn't be caught dead out in public wearing them.

Heck, yeah I'm gonna wear them!! I have a pair of navy blue & a pair of bright orange ones, & they are both the ugliest shoes I've ever had!! They're also some of the most comfy, & that's the most important point to me!!
Plus I gotta match everybody else in the family that will be wearing them.
Besides, you're on vacation, being seen by people you will never see again, so who cares what other people think!!

ok, I am a convert to the croc lifestyle. I am honorably medically discharged with a bad back. Aside from Nike's, these ARE the only shoes that I can wear without a single problem. I still work a hard job and wear wolverine boots for that, and while I'm ok for 8 plus hour shifts, I can't wait to get home and put on my NCAA Nebraska Crocs......:woohoo:  :woohoo:

My husband would never wear the clogs so I bought him the all black Crete's.
They are the new flip-flops. Very good looking and very comfortbale.

Yup, wear mine all the time! I have 2 pair of the Athens flip flop style (black and blue) and a brown pair of the Beach. I wear my Athens everywhere, they are as normal looking as crocs can get. I do also wear my Beach Crocs out, on the weekends when I'm running errands, etc. They do get more attention, but in the end, what do I care... I only had the Athens my last WDW trip and loved them, but I will be wearing my Crocs Beach come Noevember! They dont look bad at all either with a pair of khaki pants on, especially with socks.

Oh Nooooo! Not another thread about gay days. Wow, slow down there...kidding.

I would not be caught dead in them. That is even with my awesome legs and feet. I don't get the sore feet and blister thing. I have never had sore feet or blisters after wearing sneakers.

DBF said he would wear the flip flops. I also put them on DS (7). He loves them!

I'm not a guy, but I gotta tell you that I think crocs are the dumbest looking shoe EVER!!! Well, maybe suitable for kiddies--but for a grownup man or woman....nahhhhh. And, before anyone asks, I have tried them on and agree that they feel good on the foot--but then again, so do my Nike's and no one mistakes me for Minnie Mouse.:)

As a medical professional I have to say my feet feel fine after 12 hrs in crocs, I can't say that for Nikes.

I wore mine to Disney last year, LOVED them. Bought the DH a pair for our upcoming trip. He will try anything once.

And quite honestly I could care less what George from NJ thinks about my footwear because I will never see him again. So let me see..... fashion statement for people I don't know or comfort. Yeah, I'm going with comfort!!!!

I wear mine everywhere- my wife will not even try on a pair. She says they look too 'earthy' whatever that means. :confused3

I'm not a guy, but I will throw my two cents in, since I'm kinda big like a guy! LOL!

Crocs do NOT give me enough support, so I'd never wear them for a day in the parks - however I throw them on to do errands, etc.

Guys in Crocs at Disney - I saw some really funky colors on guys at Disney last summer. Lime Green, Hot Pink, Orange. Totally stupid looking (again my opinion). If you go the Crocs route, at least wear black or brown.

Do they get slippery when it rains? Not croc to pavement slippery, but foot slipping around within croc slippery.

I find that they don't get too slippery with the foot. There are little "bumps" inside of them to help that out. Also, if you get the kind that are more open, they are dry in just a couple of minutes.

I work in a hospital. Everyone, male and female alike, wear them. Everyone.

They are very comfortable and the only thing that saves your aching feet and legs after a 12 hour shift.

Well, you could always get the Pirate Crocs. I know I'm going to get a pair when I can find them.

I don't have any problem with other people wearing crocs, and I also don't care what people think about what I wear.

BUT, I personally think they're clown-shoes, and I wouldn't wear them for that reason.

I'm sure wearing nothing but a diaper around the parks all day may also be comfortable and functional, but it doesn't mean I'm going to do it.

I think they're hideous, don't give my high arches support and I hate the feel of plastic and rubber on my feet, so no thanks for me.

However, my sister and her kids are huge fans. I visited my nephew up at his summer camp in Maine last summer, and all the teen boys were wearing them (hot pink was the popular color).

Good fitting sneakers are my shoe of choice at WDW. The feel of plasticy/rubber gives me the creeps.
