Is it worth the 150? We are going in a month? (On a side note, that's Cah ray zee!). This is our second time ever, first being last year. We got pp+ last year and really used it, especially for pirates league and chef mickey's. This year we are only doing tusker house that is a character meal/photo op. We will do a lot of character greets as boys are still into it! Just wanting to know if we should do it again?

I think just one dining photo package would cover the difference between Memory Maker and the PhotoPass Archive CD, so if you plan on doing a lot of character meet and greets, you'll get your money's worth. And don't forget, you can use it for ride pictures, too.

I've used PP+ and loved it. Planning to use MM for our May trip. It's the only way I get pics of the three of us. At character meet and greets we usually do one of just DD and then one of the three of us. I also love the pics as you enter the park with the icon in the background. And night pictures come out so much better. Plus we are doing two character meals and ride photos. And I love to add borders afterwards.

We were there for six days and met a lot of characters. We have over 370 pics from memory maker

Tusker House was only a shot or two outside the building before we went in. There were no photographers during the meals we did--crystal palace, royal table, tusker house, Hollywood and vine.

I went for a week and got over 200 photos. I thought it was worth the money and will purchase it for every trip.

I've been debating too, but leaning toward yes. Are the photographers around a lot at all of the character meals?

Also, this may be a dumb question, but do they have to scan your band between each shot?

Alicat, they scan you once after they take all your shots.
I won't *not* get the photopass/memory maker. I took over 200 pictures between our camera/cell phones...only 2-3 have all 4 of us whereas most of the shots on the PP+ have all of us. I'm very glad we got it. The way I put it, you'd pay more than $150 for a family photography session...this one you get family photos in some very memorable locations, ride pictures, meal pictures, they pose you, some photographers add a little magic to the pictures (my girls have some of them holding Tink and Simba), we have one of dh and I with him holding some Mickey balloons that were added after the fact.

The dining photos are taken before you get in. There aren't any photographers with the characters inside - not enough room to maneuver.

Only a couple of places have a photo op before you go in - Chef Mickey's but there is no live character, just a statue. Crystal Palace - has none. 1900 Park Fare for breakfast had nothing at all, for dinner it was a photo op for family but no character when we went. If you do the luau at the Poly, there's a pic of the family. Akerhaus was an pop with Belle before you go in, not sure if that's still the case since Belle's got Be Our Guest now, and then there's The Castle which is before you go in to eat.

Yeah, we've only done Ohana for character meals, and there was never a photographer outside. We're doing H&V and Chef Mickeys for characters. I was hoping for the candids, so I could watch without worrying about pics. (I can see how that could be crazy though!)

We just got back and I noticed a big drop in the number of photographers and the number of shots they would take from our last trip in 2012.

HOWEVER - it was still worth the $150 hands-down. My son was the Beast at ETWB and the shots of him dancing with Belle were worth the money alone. Add the Anna and Elsa photos, and I feel like I made out like a bandit.

For those of you who've gone recently, did you get any close up shots? I feel like the pp ones I've seen are always full body, far away from the little ones' faces. Just curious-it would be nice to see more creativity with the photography.

Just back from a 4 day trip with dd. We did lots of meet and greets and rides. I love memory maker we had 280 pics before I edited and added borders. Now we have over 500. How many pics and the quality of pics depends on the photographer. There are some that you can tell really love their job and go out of their way to capture the close ups and magical candid shots and there are some that just take the standard one or two posed shots. I still always made sure to take pics with my camera, just in case and then got in on the photos at the end. I feel it's the best $150 I spent.

Where is the CD of your photos listed for $30 if you get the memory maker. We have PP+ listed on our reservation but I am leaning towards getting the MM instead. I just want to make sure if we do that the CD ( of our photos I don't care about the stock ones) can be added at home if my dad decides he doesn't want me to download for him.

There isn't one. If you want the CD, keep the PP+, otherwise you can burn your own CD.

We got a few close up ones on this trip, but the majority were full body. I just checked and most of our close up ones seem to be in front of Cinderella's Castle, Spaceship Earth, and Mickey's Hat. In those instances we got both close up and full body shots without having to ask.

I sometimes like getting the full body ones because then I have the flexibility to crop the photo in various ways. You could always ask the photographer to do a few close up ones. Most seemed willing to honor our specific requests!
