Memory Maker questions

Hi there.

I used this last year and I thought it was very valuable since we received pictures for our entire vacation. What I didn't understand is, are the people in my park able to use it too?
Can they download the pictures? Also, my husband used his magic band when taking a picture with the photographer and those pictures didn't load to my memory maker.

Am I missing something? Maybe there is something I am supposed to do to include them. Or else maybe only I can use it.

Only the person/account who purchases the photos is able to download them

Do you and your husband have separate log ins? If so, you need to be connected on My Disney Experience, and permission needs to be granted to share photos. Once this happens, then you will be able to view and download everything from his account. If you manage his account (meaning he doesn't have a log in), then this shouldn't be an issue.

If all that is done and photos still aren't appearing, was it just one or two sets of photos, or every set? If just a few, then they may have just been lost in the system and can be recovered by contacting photo imaging.

I am the only one with an account. His band is linked to my account. Can we still share photos?
Or can he use his band to sync with the photographer too?

You can still share photos and he can use his band. They should show up in your Memory maker and only you can download them.

In addition to being linked, just make sure you are checked off in his account as "this person is able to view and purchase my photo pass pictures"

I hope you don't mind me jumping in this thread. I'm planning on getting Memory Maker next month. Which restaurants can it be used at? Also, I just got an emailed advertisement and it said "new animated magic shots" included. Any idea what those are like?

The only restaurant I think is Cinderella's Royal Table - you get a picture with Cinderella before you go up to eat. Animated magic shots just have added video/graphics. There was a holiday one with some people dressed as elves...one with Sven...I think theres one with Olaf. I think there is a zootopia one in MK. I dont know if they have come out with some new ones.

How do we link two DME accounts? I have a good friend and us going to the park at the same time and I purchase MM. I want to link his family to our memory maker. What do I need to get from him or how do I link his account to ours?

Typically it's character meals. Last year we had a picture with Cinderella at CRT before we were seated, a picture by a picture outside 1900PF, and a picture with a Mickey statue before our meal at CM. This year we are doing Akershus and Ohana's and I believe it's similar where we get pictures with something before being seated. Not sure if there are other meals.
Also last year we got random shots that would have an overlay of animation like Woody and Jessie dancing across out photo in front of BTMRR or Tinker Bell flying around the EPCOT ball or Anger punching a button. We had the normal shots, but one would also show up with the animation, kinda like a magic shot.

Yes Cinderella's Table... but also 1900 Park Fare, Chef Mickey's, Hoop Dee Doo Revue, Ohana breakfast and others.

You have to have them all added as your friends and family in your My Disney Experience app. We are going in Nov and our God daughter is going to meet us there for 1 day.... so I added her as a friend/family in my MDE app so she can use the photopass as well and then in the settings for friends/family... I clicked that she can add & view shared plans (so she can't accidently delete any fastpasses, ect) AND can view & purchase your photo pass photos.

depending on your stay (Or future travel plans) you might want to consider getting at least 1 member in your group an annual pass. They recently added MM as a free perk for pass holders. So if unlimited DL for Photopass costs $150, factor that into the cost of the tickets. You only need 1 person in your group to have it to get all the downloads. It may really save money if you plan on visiting again within the year, b/c not only will the ticket be already covered, but you won't need to spend another $150 for that trip ... just my $0.02
