Memory Maker opinions?

Any other opinions? So far all seem to think its a great option. Our trip is end of August and I scrapbook so the more photos the better. I love the idea of getting all photos in one place, but am torn on the cost. Does anyone think its just not worth the $$$ (and tried it) we are a family of 5. IF we return to Disney it will not be for another 4/5 years so at this moment we are counting this as a 'once in a lifetime' trip.

I'm a scrapbook too. And, as you know, we tend to take A LOT of pictures (can never have enough). But the downside is, we're usually the one taking all the pictures and never in them. I'm not one to keep asking someone to take our picture and my husband doesn't "enjoy" doing it. There are Disney Photographers everywhere. Just take advantage of it all the time and it more than pays for itself. I can't tell you how many times we've been on vacation and I have a hundred or so photos and maybe a handful of them with me in them or all of us. Only you can make the decision to get it, but I really don't think you will be disappointed.

Thanks, we are rearranging the budget for the next month, and if there is enough left I may just spring for the MM. Lol my last trip was 2007 with DH and DD, in the album from our 7days there are three photos with me in it.

I will check out the scrapbook section too, didn't know it was there :)

Bought it on trip last August with myself, husband, grown daughter, SIL, 3 yo, 5 yo, 15 yo grandkids. BEST PURCHASE EVER. Since I'm the resident photographer for trips - it was fantastic to actually BE in the pictures. There were photographers everywhere and for the meet and greets - it was wonderful. They were so patient, taking individual pictures, then group pictures, any combo we wanted. I bet I had at least 300 and only did 2 parks and 1 waterpark!!!. Bought it again for upcoming June trip with other daughter, SIL and 3 yo granddaughter....

Do I have to decide "before" my trip, or if I feel part way through that we are seeing enough photos to make it worthwhile, can I add it half way through? ??

If you buy it before your trip, it costs $149. If you buy it during your trip, it costs $169.

We loved it! Although I always look awkward in ride photos it was still cool to have them. Some of the character pictures came out way brighter than the ones taken with my phone, and that way we got pictures of both of us without them being selfies. (Including some really cool magic shots from the Halloween party). For instance we just had my phone on the rest of our vacation outside of Disney I have very few pictures we're actually in. We got a lot of pictures out of it, and even after we weeded the ones I didn't like out I still thought it was worth it to have some cute pictures of our trip.

Can I be honest here? Reading through it almost sounds like you want to do MM but are almost looking for someone to talk you out of it. It sounds like you really do want to give it a try. Go for it :) The cost compared to an overall Disney vacation is pretty minimal. If you try it once and it doesn't work for you, you'll know next time.

We've purchased it for our trip at the end of May/first of June. If it were just my wife and I, I don't think we'd think twice about not purchasing it. We don't care much for being in pictures and feel awkward/stiff/forced while we're in them. Just flat out uncomfortable. However, we're taking our soon to be 3 year old and even thought photography is my major hobby, I want us to be able to enjoy interacting with him and the characters while not stopping to take a photo or missing out on our sons smile seeing Mickey for the 1st time, etc. I'd pay 10 times the $150 for those memories.

Keep in mind, this thread is almost two years old.
