I was reading the fine print and FAQs on MM and it seems that I might be able to pull off two trips by purchasing one MM. Will this work?

July 12th - Arrive Disney for first trip
August 26th -Download photos from July 12th (45th day and last day of photo availability for 7-12)
August 27th- Download photos from July 13th
August 28th Download photos from July 14th
August 29th Download photos from July 15th
August 30th Download photos from July 16th
August 31st Download photos from July 17th

Sept 19th - Arrive for 2nd trip and use same MM (still within 30 day mark of first download)
Sept 20th - """""
Sept 21st - """""
Sept 22nd - """""
Sept 23 """""
Sept 24th """"""
Sept 25th """""" (this marks day 30 after first download of MM from July)

So can I use one MM, or is there something I am missing?
Why would Disney allow us to do this? Why the "add photos 30 days from first download" language?

Sure would be nice if this would work. . . .:bitelip:

Following along... If you took photos, then at 44 days purchased memory maker to DL those photos tied to the account, then you might, but wow that is risky.

"Once you download the first photo, you have 30 days to capture more photos. Photos remain in your account for 45 days after they are taken."

So it would seem you can get 75 days of photos.

You are cutting it really close and assuming you won't have any issues with pictures not showing up in your account at the end of the second trip.

It would be worth the $20 to extend the first trip's expiration date by 15 days and do one download in Early Sept (say the 7th) and then a second download before Oct 7th.

Ah! So the extension would also extend the 30 day period, too, or just the expiration of the July pics? (We actually leave on Sept. 26th, so we could use pics from the morning of the 26th if the 30 day deadline were extended?)

So if we bought the extension and did the first download on September 1st, then we could still add pics up to September 30th?

It should work just like that. We used a MM for a beginning of June trip and an end of July trip last year and it worked just fine. Though you would have to download only one day's worth of photos at a time from your first trip, you could do them all together.

I had 2 trips in Jan / Feb. MM covered both trips but the trips were complete within 30 days of each other. Not a good test for the theory. I asked out of curiosity about critical dates. I was told:
- Pics expire 45 days from date taken. And they were deleted on the 45th day exactly, I checked. So you have to edit & download before they're deleted.
- You can continue to acquire more photos 30 days from the first time you download a photo. Which puts it at roughly 75 days.
- You can purchase an extension which changes the 45 day expiration to 60 days. Which means you would not have to edit and do the first download until about day 59/60. Add another 30 days to acquire photos which puts the total at 89/90 days.

I asked about this exact scenario on a couple occasions and was told by Disney photopass services that it would work.

I was also told by Disney Photopass services (different CMs) it would not work and I had only 30 days from date of first pic to acquire and 45 days to edit and download.

What is real , who knows?

Give it a try and let us know!!

Always saw these posts and wondered if it'll work (now that I would like to try it). Is it possible to get two trips, 70 days apart, from MM?

If you are visiting twice, depending on the length, it may be worth someone (or everyone) upgrading to an AP. The Annual Passes all include MM now, and it may lower the cost for other things.

I did this for a late September and early December trip. Trip was September 22 - October 6. I extended the download of the September photos. Downloaded them the last day (November 21) and then I had until December 21 to download all my photos from my December trip (December 5-10). It works and saves you a ton of money!!

Sorry, I should've mentioned we have APs from prior to the change including the MM.

Why don't you just upgrade one of your APs to the Premium AP? I did that for $100 and will get three trips out of the benefit. That is cheaper than MM anyway. You will get MM for every remaining trip until the pass expires- and the pictures will be in your account for a year.

I agree with the poster who said to buy the extension. This only extends the 45 day expiration of your photos, not the 30 day download window. Aside from that, you do not need to do what you are suggesting with the photos from July. You can just do one download on the 26th of August of all of the photos from your July trip. You wouldnt be going in each day to download another set. The download is one big set, so you just click download all on Aug 26th and all of your photos that are there get downloaded. And then you have it correct for September, that the last day you can do any more downloads will be Sept 25th (30 days from Aug 26th). But I think getting the extension on the photos and waiting to download another week even would be a good idea.

It's going to be cheaper and easier if you upgrade one of your AP rather than buying the MM, plus you can download photos for a full year after they are taken.

too late- I bought MM in March and have a trip in June, plus we had blackout date vacations that would have meant Premium Pass costs for an upgrade. Right now I'm still under cost of that upgrade, but another MM purchase will put me over. An extension of my current MM and adding on more pictures in June will work though. Thanks for that suggestion and for the one to upgrade... I just didn't ask soon enough!

Oh that's a bummer, I feel your pain though. I bought a 1 day MM in October before I knew about the changes to the plan, then upgraded in Nov. I'm not in Florida so I had to upgrade to the premium pass anyway. I was able to use the benefits for 3 trips though so it really paid off for me.

Yes, it will work with the $20 extension:

Day 1 - Begin first trip
Day X - End first trip
Sometime after Day X, but before Day 45 - Purchase $20 extension
Sometime around Day 55 - Activate Download Entitlement and download all pics
Day 70 - Begin second trip
Day Y - End second trip
Sometime after Day Y, but before Day 85 - Download all pics

If you waited until Day 59 to download all pics, you'd be able to wait until day 89 to download all pics from second trip.

Bonus - they were recently offering the extension for free in April! Maybe they'll offer it again!

It should work no problem. I always buy the MM for our trips in May, my sister who lives in FL has an annual pass, since we are linked through F&F all of her visits within 30-45 days of my May trip have been on my MM when I download my images. In fact I think last year there were pictures from March or April (my trip was mid-may).
