We are traveling with another couple. I have them listed on my MDE account (as if they were our kids, I suppose), they do not have their own accounts. We would like to purchase Memory maker for our trip (we're going to split the cost between the four of us), in advance of the trip to take advance of the discount. Here's my question:

1. Any discount for DVC members?

2. We will then have access to ALL the pics any photopass photographer takes?

3. ALL ride photos will also be included?

4. I will be given a code to download digital versions of the pictures we want (regardless of how many) rather than a CD?

5. Can the pics be customized with borders and such? Does that cost extra?

6. We have 30 days (or was it 45) after our trip to select which pics we want and to download them?

7. Since the couple we are traveling with are listed on my account, will they be able to download the pics too or will I have to download them all and then give them copies?

Anything else I'm missing? If we are entitled to all the pics the photogs take, then we are going hog wild with them this trip! It's the other couple's first trip and we want to document it all! Thanks!

1. Not that I've heard about, but I don't own DVC.

2. Yes.

3. Yes.

4. I don't think you get a code; I think you just have to log in to your MDE account at the PhotoPass site.

5. Yes, and no. ;)

6. Photos expire 45 days after they're taken.

7. You'll be the only one who can download.

Thanks!

When I download them, I can do whatever I want with them though, right? Like send copies to the other couple (burned to a CD or on a flash drive or even emailed etc).

Also, will everyone on my MDE account be able to have their bands scanned for pics? Sometimes we may split up and I would like the other couple to be able to take pics too.

Yep, the pictures are yours to do with whatever you want. (Well, you can't sell them. ;)) I know with the CDs you got a jpg file with a release that you could take to a place like Target or Walgreens to have your pictures printed there, so I would assume you get something similar with the download. Everyone on your Friends and Family list will be able to have their Magic Bands scanned to have pictures taken. Just as a disclaimer though, I actually haven't used MM, but I've read a lot about it (and I'm pretty sure I understand how it works), so I would suggest checking out the thread on the Disney World Tips forum that was started by a PhotoPass photographer.

We just did this in May and got tons of pictures.

4. I will be given a code to download digital versions of the pictures we want (regardless of how many) rather than a CD? There is no code. But you will download them from My Disney Experience on the computer

5. Can the pics be customized with borders and such? Yes Does that cost extra? NO

7. Since the couple we are traveling with are listed on my account, will they be able to download the pics too or will I have to download them all and then give them copies? Only you can download them, so you have 2 options: Either give them copies, or log in to your MDE account on their computers and download them that way.
