memory book

I'm looking for a good site to have a memory book made. I usually like Walmart, but you can't have text on the cover for the small basic book.

I was making one in vistaprint that I liked, but my coupon expires today and I'm not going to be done, and shipping there is a killer.

Is there anywhere else I should look? I would like something small (5x7 or so) where I can put 3-5pics on a page with at least 3 lines of text and text on the cover.

IMO, the Apple ones were easiest to make but pricey. I've used Shutterfly and Sanpfish, both were nice and there are codes out there for Mother's day.

If you buy a carvel icecream cake, there is a peelie on it for a free book from either Snapfish or Shutterfly, I forget which, just pay shipping

I have done many books on Shutterfly - even our Disney Wedding Album. I have also used Kodak with good results.

Be very very wary with Vistaprint. The price seems fantastic until you get to the end and they charge you an "Upload" fee per photo - I think it's like 60 cents per photo. My oh so cheap calendar was not a bargain by the time I got done with my upload fees. Nice quality but not as cheap as advertised.

If you like Wal-marts quality and price you can still do a cover with a photo and add the words to the cover. Just use a photo as the cover. Download adobe photoshops free 30 day trial add the words then upload your photo as the full page and the words already on it. I can show you a sample of pages I've done this way if you want.

Have you checked out artscow.? When you sign up, you get alot of free stuff. It may take a while to get the book, because it comes from Japan but they offer alot of stuff.

LOVE the Shutterfly 8x8 hardcover ones. I always do a WDW one and it's small, but not too small and love the glossy hard cover w/ the photo. You can even do a collage on the back cover. I always manage to get a free one every now and then.

Don't go through CVS if you have those near you, the colors come out horrible.

hotprints.com does a free one each month. They pay shipping too. I just made one, but have not received it yet. I do have a friend who says it's legit, and since it's free I figure, what the heck

Yes, it's legit! I made my son an "All About Andrew" scrapbook from Hotprints in March, and it came. He loves it!!

Love, love, love my books from there. They aren't cheap, but there is usually a code floating around for buy 1 get 1 free (of the same book) or some % off. I buy two of each book so I can have one to flip through and one to save. They have lots of styles of books to choose from and you can even make a book jacket. I have received TONS of complements on the books I've made and we've flipped through them many many times. (BTW - they hold up pretty well too - the ones we've used a lot are in just as good of condition as the ones I've kept stored away. ) I found their program extremely easy to use as well, it's just a little download.
