Memories upgrades - photography costs?

Can anyone speak to the costs of additional photography services for the Memories collection? I am waiting for my contract and additional info... just dying to know. I know they said I could add a disk for an additional cost and videography... I want my images.

I thought about hiring an outside photographer as well, but I don't want to spend the entire day taking photos because this is a "vacation" for the kids and the wedding idea came at the last minute!

Hey! Did you do both/either? Worth it or no? I am now hiring another photographer outside of Disney so probably won't buy the disk but still will probably get videography.

I ordered the CD (it won't be ready for a few weeks). I like having the big digital files of the photos so I can use them however I want.

I did not go with the videographer. Honestly, our ceremony was about 15 minutes long. I couldn't see paying that much money for a film of such a short ceremony. We had a videographer at our original wedding 10 years ago and have maybe watched the dvd 2 or 3 times since.

I'm going to be a Memories wedding bride as well, and just wanted to give you a heads up in case you have not received your contract yet. If you book an outside photographer, you won't be able to use the Disney one (even though it is included in the cost of the package), so there will be no disc to buy even if you wanted it. And Disney does not offer you a credit or any form of substitution if you opt out. It definitely sucks, but not much we can do about it

My planner told me I can use both! But that my photographer can't take pics during the ceremony. Not sure what to do now. Was thinking I'd jus have my photog take pics before and after... But again, then I don't have ceremony pics aside from the ones they give
