Do you have any plans?

We will probably spark up the grill and have some comfort food and pool time!

I am guessing pork won't be on the menu, Mike? :lmao:

We are still getting over a late spring cold snap/blizzard so I think I'll be replanting tomato plants.

I have to work. I traded my holiday for an extra day at the Fringe Festival (today).

So I'll head off to work. The nice thing is, I'll be the only one in the office, and once I'm done, I'll be able to leave, so it'll be a shorter day than usual.

Once I'm home, we'll be grilling NY strips and corn on the cob and eating by the pool. Should be a great night.

Wow its been a wild weekend! We had friends and their 2 kids pop in Friday. The kids swam and we fed everyone.

Today we had friends and family over. We had shrimp, burgers and hot dogs and asparagus on the grill. We had corn on the cob potato salad and all the trimmins. Day at the pool and a movie at dark on the projector. Fun!

Tmw NO ONE is invited. Its a quiet family day. Oh and probably a trip to best buy to yell at someone working at the geek squad (I feel sorry for whoever is working tmw at our best buy).

Oh and this time next week I will have finish watching fireworks at Epcot

Nothing about this holiday weekend has gone anything like I had sort of planned in my head. I had thought that we would spend Saturday working on household stuff and doing some shopping/errands.....it turned into a morning of laziness and an expensive shopping trip at the mall that really wasn't necessary, but it will be my last time at that mall for a LOOOOONNNNNNNNNGGGGGGG time, because the Disney Store is closing in the mall and there is no other draw for me to go there. We also hit a specialty shopping area where Corey had a lot of fun at Gap, AE, and Life is Good. We were supposed to have gotten up early today to ride the 2 wheelers to breakfast and up to some place north of here away from traffic, but we were up to almost 2am, which threw that plan way off. We had sort of decided to go up to the big outlet mall about 70 miles north of here and hit the sales, but we woke up so late and neither of us had the desire to really go the distance in the car and at the outlets, so we hit the outlet mall close to our home and ended up gathering lots of nice new work clothes for Corey at 50% to 70% clearance prices. The score of the day was a nice Perry Ellis shirt that had been $90 that we got for only $8. Corey also did something that I would have never done in that she had the zoom teeth whitening thing done at a kiosk in the mall. Her teeth look lovely, but at dental procedures the mall?!?!! We came home to find that our yard service guy was botching the lawn yet again. Corey hates having to get someone else to do the lawn, but with my asthma and her severe outdoor allergies and asthma, it's a necessity. We decided to go out to dinner and Walmart for more shopping. This time, it was mostly about necessities, but we did find a new tent for our backyard. You know those pop up tents that you put up for tailgating? Our current one is still standing, but starting to leak pretty bad. I enjoy it when we take the dogs outside in the evening or when the weather is bad, sometimes walking out there is the only way that I can get them to go potty. TMI?

For tomorrow, we are driving our two wheelers to breakfast. Afterwards, we need to go grocery shopping. Corey has to service our riding lawnmower, because she is selling it to a coworker that lives about 5 hours from here and she is delivering it to her on Tuesday. We have some major laundry to do and a few things that we would like to get done to the house clean up wise that might have to get done throughout the week. Right now, I am just thrilled to have Corey home. She is mostly mine for the next couple of weeks and then it's back out on the darn road again. I think we are going to grill out tomorrow, but that's largely in the hands of the weatherman and the butcher.

Are you sure you sure that you wanted to hear my answer? :upsidedow

cob potato salad? if that's as good as it sounds, please post the recipe on the recipe exchange!

:)

*bops* you on the head with a big ole , to throw in there....

Oh FINE! Be that way!

Now I'll just have CREATE a cob potato salad just to show you that I'm not crazy!

Oh, wait, I AM crazy.

nevermind.

Why couldn't you take the corn off the cob and add it to your potato salad....it could happen!!!!! I sometimes add egg to my potato salad and celery seeds, why not corn... Creative recipe popping into my head..

Last night we had BBQ chicken, rice pilaf and edamame salad, which had corn it too. I did not make the edamame salad, but I do love it.

Today, planting in the yard, and cooking on the grill, burgers and big salad for dinner.. Our pool is not open yet, this early Memorial day screwed us all up...this week it will be open, it is still cool here on Cape Cod.

I'm at work

I do get a new (used) refridgerator today, so I get to go food shopping :hyper:

I havent had a working fridge for about a month :rotfl2:

Ohhhh

We may have story time tonight! We just got invited to my aunts house for a BBQ!

She is one crazy lady! Lets see....what does Shrek say about her...

"Nothing wrong with being 50.........unless your acting 20!" :rotfl2:

I'll be sure to get a good "TR" out of this!

all that shopping sounds fun! and the bargains!! you are making me want to venture out to the outlet malls this week!

we went to a bbq yesterday at a friends house, she just opened her pool and the kids were swimming all afternoon into the evening, and that water was frigid!!!! I couldn't believe they stayed in so long.
today hubby is working, i need to run to the market for dinner, we will just probably cook out when he gets home, our pool is not open yet, and it is hot here today, so I am sorry we were lazy about getting it open!!!

hope everyone is having a nice day:thumbsup2

Mike's at work so he can use Friday as his Holiday. I'm working from home too - part of the day.

The rest of the day I'm finishing the plans for next week's cruise on the Magic. :hyper: I just booked the hotel for pre-cruise night. :rolleyes1

Then I'll start packing...:faint:

So far it's been dishes, laundry, and "Rich Bride, Poor Bride." Wow ... no words can capture the experience ...:confused3:confused3:confused3

Fooey. I'm at work, out of state. We had a nice dinner yesterday though, but I sure do wish I was home by our pool with my DP.

Happy Memorial Day everyone, and thank you to all the women and men who gave their lives for us.
