Yes! I renewed both my Sorcerers Passes and was able to use my holding points (as they are direct points, must still be direct points) and was able to purchase 24 OTU points (using the 2-for-1 benefit) at the same time to pay for the renewals. So points in holding and OTU points can be used towards the purchase of an annual Sorcerer Pass with MMB?
Sorry - I meant #1 not #2 - I was reading quickly and honed in on your second paragraph, not point #2.Why will you do this “tomorrow”?
It can ONLY be upgraded to a Magic Key (if they are offering them for purchase). They CAN NOT be used to upgrade to any other ticket.
I don’t think anyone has actually tried do anything yet, so we’ll see if that information holds.
Yeah, the BOGO OTUP that work at ANY resort and can replace points on a current reservation made within 7m makes MBB a no brainer for many people.Sorry - I meant #1 not #2 - I was reading quickly and honed in on your second paragraph, not point #2.
I see it if I log in to the full WDW website.Does anyone see their Memory Maker entitlement in their account? I already have the Memory Maker add-on to my AP and that's all I see in my account under Memory Maker.
I called PhotoPass to ask about this - they said that the system should recognize my active MM from my AP. I'll know this is true if my photos next month don't have a watermark in them when they show up in the app for viewing. If there's a watermark, then I'll know there's an issue and I'll go chat with the PhotoPass desk at the park. Sounds like the MMB MM, like the regular MM, has to be approved for activation by the user, so it shouldn't accidentally turn on. I guess we'll see how this works out...So I have an AP with Memory Maker active at the moment, but not planning to renew when it expires this spring. I have a trip planned next month, and another trip later this year. For my first trip, I'm wondering if Disney's systems will recognize that I currently have an active Memory Maker and save my MMB Memory Maker benefit for my later trip. Any thoughts on that? Or should I check with MS (but not today since they're apparently swamped)?
Yea, I'm really interested in some of these questions, too. I don't want mine to auto activate for a trip next week - I want to use it for a trip later in the year. I'm hoping we have a choice regarding when to use it.I called PhotoPass to ask about this - they said that the system should recognize my active MM from my AP. Mileage may vary on this one. I inquired about reallocating points on an existing February 2025 reservation at Poly Tower with BOGO one-time use points and they said no, it must be a new or modified (adding a night) reservation within the 7 month window. I just made the reservation a few weeks ago borrowing 2026 points from my BLT contract so it wasn't about home resort priority. I understood the points, if reallocated, would have remained in the 2025 use year but at least it would have freed them up for a Christmas 2025 BLT reservation I'm planning to make in the 11 month window.Yeah, the BOGO OTUP that work at ANY resort and can replace points on a current reservation made within 7m makes MBB a no brainer for many people.
If you are planning to rent hopefully you can change the OTUP into something you have booked at 7 months and then bank your home resort points to rent using the 11 month window. This is my plan if I don’t find a use for the OTUP points myself.
Against my better judgement I bought MMB on Jan 11th. Next day found out the character meet is limited to one per trip. We’ll need something more than one meet with Judy from Zootopia to make the $99 worthwhile.
Interesting. I was told by MS that they would swap out the OYUP on an existing reservation I have. Never mentioned having to add a day. I haven’t done it just yet. Was waiting for the call times to drop.Mileage may vary on this one. I'm definitely planning to call tomorrow and see if a different CM will give me a different answer but it may just come down to who assists you.Interesting. Just to clarify, you bought a MM package previously and they were able to refund because you purchased MMB as well? So I assumed this is because you haven’t used your photopass/MM service yet. After re-reading, I changed my post. The CM I spoke with about a similar situation said since this is a new program, it is best to stop at a photo pass kiosk on your first park day.
In case anyone had my issue with purchasing a Memory Maker package before the DVC announcement of Member Magic Beyond, I was able to get a full refund of the purchased MM package.
The OTUP rules say they can only be bought in the context of making a new reservation. From the FAQ (emphasis added). It's nice that they are doing things that avoid the bogus-24-point reservation, though.Mileage may vary on this one.
The purchase just needs to occur at the time you're making the reservation that requires them.
Well, unfortunately, you are right. The MS person who I spoke with yesterday, was incorrect. Just called to reallocate the OTUP for an existing reservation and they said I had to add a day. No swapping out of points. I’ll have to find another way to recoup the points.I'm definitely planning to call tomorrow and see if a different CM will give me a different answer but it may just come down to who assists you.
Some people have reported being able to reallocate already. I wonder why the change?Well, unfortunately, you are right. The MS person who I spoke with yesterday, was incorrect.
