Just to clarify, you bought a MM package previously and they were able to refund because you purchased MMB as well? So I assumed this is because you haven’t used your photopass/MM service yet.

Yeah, the BOGO OTUP that work at ANY resort and can replace points on a current reservation made within 7m makes MBB a no brainer for many people.

Did they tell you that in order to apply them you had to be making a change to the reservation (resort, length of stay etc.)? This is what MS told me in the chat.

I did not make a change to the reservation at the time of purchase and swap.

That is what I was told just a few hours ago. CM even put me on hold to confirm with someone higher up than her.

Just call to buy the OTUP for a date that you are not going that is within 7 months but more than 31 days out.
After you book and pay go into your dashboard and cancel the reservation.
Then go to your reservation, modify it with adding the OTUP contracts which you should be able to do as long as the reservation was not using the home resort priority.

I haven't done anything yet. Looked at the Modifying just now, but I don't see where you can switch current points for OTYP. Matter of fact, I don't believe I can find the OTUP anywhere in my Dashboard. Have you actually done this or just believe it's possible?

They won’t show up on your dashboard, but will when you actually go to make the reservation and have to pick what contract points come from. Similar to transferred points.

Just did that and it has a lock on my currently used points. In other words, they are making me use my points already allocated to that stay. So I'd have to drop a day or two and then rebook to use the OTUP. The problem there is that when I drop the reservation, a wait-list could pick up those days before I can rebook.

Ok can you add a day to your existing reservation with the OTUP?

If you can do that then go back in and drop the day you just added and your points will be back.

They might have changed there IT from when you did it. Unless I'm missing a work-around. It clearly say I have to use the points allocated for that Res first. Even has a 'lock' symbol next to it.

I could, but that won't help unless it becomes free. And I'm looking at Beach Club in march. Doubt that will happen. Pretty sure now that I won't be able to use this Res for the purpose. Fortunately, I have an Aulani stay, where there is a day available within our stay that's 27pts. I could book it with OTUP and then drop my current day on that night. then ask MS to join the split Res.

Good thought, but no. No days on either side.

No-pretty sure it’s locked because they are telling me I have to use those points before my OTUP. It lines up with what MS told me.
