I'm not sure that's true. The website linked above says that character meets in the Epcot lounge will be a benefit of Beyond, and that Beyond members get priority access to the lounges when there is a waiting list. To me, that implies that non-Beyond members can still visit the lounge but might have a longer wait and won't get to meet the characters. So it looks like the Lounges are now going to be limited to this new, even more select pay to play tier of DVC Members? That’s frustrating.
I read it as priority access as well. However, those who purchased direct points but don’t buy this additional option could have an even longer wait when there’s a WL. No?So it looks like the Lounges are now going to be limited to this new, even more select pay to play tier of DVC Members? That’s frustrating.
Edit: I’m rereading and now I’m not sure if that’s what it means. Possibly it’s just priority access?
That’s the language to point out that after that date, 150 is required. If you have membership extras you qualify. The Membership Magic Beyond option is part of Membership Extras which, effective June 3, 2021, requires having an ownership interest with 150 Vacation Points or more purchased directly from Disney Vacation Development, Inc.
Does this mean that blue card members prior to the 150 point rule are ineligible?
I was wondering the same thing. Wasn’t sure if it’s going to be paid to access the lounges or pay to get priority meet and greets with characters in the lounges and waitlist priority. So it looks like the Lounges are now going to be limited to this new, even more select pay to play tier of DVC Members? That’s frustrating.

Ok, thanks. That is why I was hoping but wasnt sure. That’s the language to point out that after that date, 150 is required. If you have membership extras you qualify.
“Get one bonus OTU point for each OTU purchased” is the important part.So for me I read the bonus OTU points differently than everyone else. I am likely completely wrong. I read this as they are cutting back the OTU point to 12 points max to purchase and then allowing you to purchase 12 more as a bonus, thus upping the amount you can purchase from the current 20 to 24. But you all are right bonus is probably free... but then that makes this $99 price tag pretty low for all that you are getting and I dont trust that.
- Bonus One-Time-Use Points
- Get one bonus One-Time-Use Point for each One-Time-Use Point purchased! Members can purchase up to 12 Points for a total of 24 One-Time-Use Points in a Use Year. Excludes bookings offered through the hotel exchange program.
This will only put you ahead in the waitlist if there’s one. Access remains the same.I am so confused. We are grandfathered blue card members. Can we access the lounge without paying $99?
It looks like as Blue/Y members you can still access the lounge, but if there is a waitlist, the MMB people staying onsite, on DVC points for that day, have priority.I am so confused. We are grandfathered blue card members. Can we access the lounge without paying $99?
I'll spend the $99 just to get priority lounge access.
I'm hoping it just means still a max of 24 per year. I'm pretty sure there was already a 24 limit and this says 12+12free with no change in the total allowed. They say "Members" when probably should have said Membership Magic Beyond/MMB Members...So for me I read the bonus OTU points differently than everyone else. I am likely completely wrong.
