Membership Magic Beyond

$99 is a very fair price I feel. Maybe they’re playing the psychology game - we will undervalue this perk in hopes to get future direct members? As a resale member I am definitely feeling the FOMO. My pea brain doesn’t care that the perk is still not worth the difference in price between direct and resale. 😂
I'm a resale member and feel absolutely no FOMO. Feels like only Disney fans would jump at the chance to pay more money for perks that are a mix of useful and not useful, most of which cost Disney hardly anything to offer. Discounted tickets? IDK, Disney offers discounts on tickets sometimes anyway and many of the third party agents likely have better pricing. The 12 one time use points I suppose does have some value, if you were going to buy those anyway.

How are they going to prevent people from getting distressed points transferred to them cheap and then using those to book sorcerers? Maybe by only allowing your original contract points to be used?

Just like booking the Disney collection, only the eligible points for Membership Magic can be used.

  • Disney Sorcerer Pass Using Points
    • Use your points to buy the Disney Sorcerer Pass, giving you access to Walt Disney World Resort theme parks.
I wonder what the exchange rate will be? 100 points for a Sorcerer pass… 😂
That will be a bargain especially for those who bought points for the Cabins at FW with those low maintenance fees..............................

There maybe a hidden clause where only "blue card" eligible points can be used to book a sorcerers pass.

Y’all. It’s EXTRA. No one is making you pay for it. I don’t think there’s anything there that they took away from what already existed and put it behind a paywall. If you don’t find the additions to be useful to you, no worries save your money. Not everything introduced will appeal to or be beneficial for everyone.

I’m seeing it like buying a car. Some choose to add bells and whistles that I mostly find pointless but it makes them happy and makes their experience more enjoyable. Good for them. It doesn’t change the fact that you also bought a brand new car that functions exactly as the person who paid for all the extras, but they wanted it to have a sunroof and fancy tires.
Remote start. Worth every penny when you live in the desert. Moved out of the desert and it's also worth every penny in the winter.

It would have to be really cheap to be worthwhile in my book, and I do believe it will be direct purchase points.

Just read some of the terms and conditions. For MM, you get one entitlement a year.

So, it covers one 30 day period. If you go multiple times a year, it doesn’t sound like you’d get it I. Future trips.

Tickets can only be purchased by calling MS or Disney…no buying in person. The 5 day weekday passes did WDW must be used within 8 days is the start date. The extra water park day can be used any day including weekends.

Park hopping can be added to the pass.

The OTU points can be used for any trip that is bookable so you can buy in 2025 for trips in 2026. And, yes, you are capped 24 still with the bonus.

So, most one will pay for is 12, if they want all 24.

Correct

Purchase of Walt Disney World® Resort Five-Day Date-Based Weekday Theme Park Ticket Plus One Water Park Visit: From time to time, Members enrolled in the Optional Benefit Program are granted the ability to purchase up to eight (8), five (5)-day, date-based, weekday tickets (“WDW Tickets”). Each WDW Ticket allows access to one (1) WALT DISNEY WORLD® Resort theme park per day (for a total of five (5) theme park visits) Monday through Friday only and provides one (1)-day admission to either Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park OR Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park (whichever is open).
Then I’d expect a much larger discount. Not that we’ll get it, but that’s what I’d be expecting.

High chance I’ll be disappointed 🤣

So, I can't find it, so it may not be explained yet - but can we buy, say, a 7-day ticket and use for weekends but need to pay full price tickets for the weekend days, or will weekends just be off-limits?

It doesn’t specifically outline that yet but my guess is that this will be the same as points needs for trades…must be eligible points and those are only points bought resale prior to 2012 or direct points.

Transferred points would not be eligible since they are not something one owns.

Q: Who is eligible to purchase the Membership Magic Beyond option?

A.The Membership Magic Beyond option is available for purchase to Disney Vacation Club Members (DVC-Y) with eligible ownership interests currently in good standing, who are U.S. residents. Corporate Memberships are ineligible. To learn more about Membership Extras, including eligibility, Members should see the Membership Extras Acknowledgment and Disclosure Statement. The 2025 Membership Magic Beyond Option Terms and Conditions apply.
Ugh. First lightning lanes and now this 😔 I’m such a second class citizen.

Anyone have any thoughts on what the 30 day memory maker means? Like I get a total of 30 days of pictures spread out over the year? I get To use it once during the year and have 30 days to download my pictures? I have to pick an activation date and it works for 30 days?

I usually add memory maker to my AP for $99 so if this takes the place of that then I guess I’m in
Ditto.

I have the $99 AP photo pass, so this perk basically pays for itself. No-brainer for me.

If you are a hybrid member, do you need to be staying in DVC-Y points to use this?

There really is no such thing as DVC Y points…DVC Y is simply a way to designate you qualify for membership extras.

However, none of these benefits would matter which points you use to book your stay.

I do think that points for Sorcerer pass will need to be direct points and not resale points, unless purchased prior to 2012.

What if you have multiple membership IDs… do you only get the perks if you are staying on points of the membership that is DVC-Y….

Also, where is the Aulani love in all of this?

Give me a priority line for character meet and greets or a one day advantage at being able to book the character breakfast…. how about an earlier window to pre-book reserved seating….
