Thank You, the mail up here is a little sketchy at times. Sometimes you get other peoples mail and they get yours. I just wanted an approximate time frame to be looking.
I dont know if you can call them to find it if it has been mailed (I know we have that information for the members of our company). Also I think once you have your number available you can start benefiting (just tell whomever that you lost your card... but you know your number). Hopefully you will soon be a "card carrying" DVC member!
mch04049,
Congrats on your resale purchase. You will generally receive your membership card 2 to 4 weeks after closing. If you do not receive your card within that time period, contact your resale associate and they can get in touch with Disney.
An "Associate" is a person named by the Purchaser or Purchasers who is only authorized to make reservations using the Member's Home Resort Vacation Points. Associates do not receive Member Cards and are not entitled to the benefits and privileges that are available to a Member. In addition, Associates may not access financial information related to Annual Dues and/or loan pertaining to the Membership.
A member is an owner of the contract. The only way an associate can be made a member is if their name is on your contract and they would be legally an owner of the contract.
Has your purchase of the contract already closed? If not you could have the title company change it before the closing.
I know you can contact member services and they can provide you with forms to change the title. But I think they charge $300 or so to process it. There is a cheaper method that you can file the change yourself with Orange County. Dean is pretty knowledgeable about this document hopefully he will post more details soon.
