member day at HHI

Anyone else kinda disappointed with "member day" at HHI? It was on the calendar and the CM told us about it at check in, but there didnt seem to be anything special about the day, except the banners.

Did we just miss everything?

There are discounts for certain activities on Member Day. I think the Dolphin Excursion is discounted that day. I'm not sure what else.

They used to call the resort tour the "Member Behind the Ears Tour"; I just noticed that on our activity schedule from a few weeks ago that they left out the word "member".

I think it's a carryover from before the resort was sold out and they had member meetings, and sometimes even member socials with the DVC sales CMs. There's really no need for that now, but I guess they wanted to keep the "Member Day" tradition.

I guess I never thought much about it. I am curious, though, as to what types of things were you expecting?

i guess i was expecting something scaled down for the resort but more along the lines of what we heard about at wdw last summer.

i dont really know. it was just like..."Wednesday is member day!"..."really? what happens on member day?"....."oh nothing"......
