A reign of terror that is never ending!

Sources are now reporting that Mel Gibson, during the infamous violent confrontation in January, pulled a gun on GF Oksana Grigorieva when she tried to escape his Malibu mansion.

Law enforcement has learned in their investigation that in the middle of the disturbing fight between MELtdown and Oksana, Mel left the room and went into his bedroom, where he supposedly always keeps a gun. As he left, Oksana tried to make a run for it, grabbing her keys and running for the door.

That's when Mel reappeared, holding his handgun, and started to threaten her further. He allegedly waved the gun in her face and said, "I will show you how to get out of here fast.”

Thankfully, Oksana was able to leave without Mel actually firing the gun, but the intent was disturbing all the same.

We are simply horrified by this man!!! We want nothing more than to see him get locked up and put away for a looooooong time!

Yeah, I know, not the most reliable source.. but if it's true, holy crap.

I would guess his exwife is sitting back, protecting her children and thinking,'now the world knows what I endured; divorce isn't so bad after all!' He's clearly very, very ill. Sometimes the drinking has gone on for so long that there is irrevocable brain damage. I've personally seen a very vital, fun and intelligent man become an anxious, paranoid, less than smart recluse due to alcohol. I also have a friend who killed himself at 44 with alcohol and another friend who is unrecognizable to me at age 57 because of hard drinking. All of this damage is permanent. Sad but true. If Mel has any true friends left, they'd better be doing an intervention and sending him off for a long term recovery, none of this 30 day stuff for him. He's lost children from two relationships now and he doesn't get that HE is the problem.

I didn't think he lost any children from his first marriage, did he? Granted most of them are over 18, but I thought he saw the younger ones all the time. Did she get his rights/visitation taken away? You would think that would be a wake up call for him.

I think it does sound like him.

I can accept that the tapes may have been spliced, or something, but that doesn't change too much for me.

No woman certainly deserves to be treated like that. But I wonder about the alleged assault. Where are pictures of her with her teeth supposedly knocked out? I did see some pictures of Mel and Oksana going out to dinner about 12 days after this happened, and her teeth look just fine.

And I'm no fan of Oksana's either. Any woman who knowingly messes around and gets pregnant with a married man (he was still married when he first hooked up with her) is not exactly of good moral character.

My mom fell face first on the pavement years ago and broke all her front teeth. They were fixed within the week, and you couldn't tell that it had even happened. I'm sure they had her in that night fixing them.

I don't really care what she did at this point, he's gone way over and above in his response. I think he's a long term abuser too, what got me was when he said "she's not your friend, she'd blow me in five minutes"...that's classic isolating behavior. I can see why she taped it too, letting it get out was a mistake however.

I think people in the media or who may have known Mel at some point are trying to grasp for any kind of 'thing' that can make this whole mess seem not as bad as it is. They want to find ways to spin it so that it's Oksana's fault. They want to question her method of making the recordings or her motivation behind it. Anything to try to make Mel seem like he is not as bad as he is. He is a bad person. He has shown us this much. The stuff he says is vile and oozing with hate.

We have all heard the recordings - it is clearly Mel's voice. There is no doubt about it. The only reason anyone on TV is saying "IF that proves to be Mel on the tapes" is to protect themselves from a potential lawsuit. But we all know it's Mel. If it were not Mel, Mel would be shouting from the rooftops that it is not his voice. Notice he is being very silent.

Furthermore, Mel is clearly responding to Oksana's comments in the tapes - he is clearly interacting with her. It's not like she just planted his tirades in there randomly and they don't fit what she is saying - it is clearly an interaction between the two of them in each excerpt.

Also, Oksana is a 'singer' (whatever that means) and has access to recording equipment. In fact, at one point Mel rants about the cost of the equipment he paid for and says he could have done it himself (whatever that means). Anyway, I'm sure that with the help of a good sound mixer or engineer, Oksana was able to make a tape/tapes of excellent quality so that she can clearly be heard and Mel can clearly be heard. She knew she was going to be recording Mel for a while, so she made sure to get a set-up that would get her the best quality. Nothing wrong with that, in my opinion. And she wanted to make sure that she captured him on tape in all his glory, saying the stuff that she had become accustomed to hearing.

Oksana had every right to tape Mel if she was in fear for her life - and based on what I've heard of Mel, I would be in fear for my life as well. He is obviously highly unstable, and dislikes almost every segment of society! Oksana may be a lousy person or gold digger (and I don't know if she is or not), but I think she deserves a medal for having to put up with Mel at all. She did not deserve what he did or said to her...and he does not deserve to have custody of that baby.

Now, most likely, Oksana probably made hours and hours of tapes - because I suspect Mel has been a stark-raving lunatic for the entirety of their relationship (and probably before that), and it finally escalated to the point where she needed to get evidence - after he hit her and threatened her life. Chances are, she probably extracted the 'highlights' of the tapes and put them on to one main tape, which is the 30-minute thing that RadarOnline has, from which they keep releasing little snippets. That is probably what the audio experts are picking up - that it is not one long 30-minute chat. Rather, it's the 'greatest hits' reel from many conversations, strung together on one tape. But the individual exchanges from each excerpt are clearly Mel and Oksana interacting. He is responding to her comments, and she to his.

Bottom line - I don't know if this woman is a gold digger, but I see nothing wrong with taping Mel. I see nothing wrong with the way in which she taped him. I don't care if the quality is great. I don't care if she had someone help her record him. I don't care if she only hooked up with him for money. Whatever the case, he has proven himself to be a maniac and she did not deserve his treatment. He has decades of deep-seated anger buried in him that clearly extends way beyond Oksana. He needs to be put away for a while - no, let me correct that. Someone needs to give him a good smack across the face and then lock him up before it's too late.

I understand to each his own, but, really, Mel's agency - the William Morris Agency - would not have dumped him if it were not Mel on the tapes. They stuck by him after his anti-Semitic tirade a few years ago, and his anti-gay comments in the past. They heard the tapes. They know their client. They know it's Mel, and he crossed a line that even Hollywood is uncomfortable with (even though I suspect there are many other narcissistic, rage-filled megalomaniacs in Hollywood, and Mel is not alone - anyone ever hear of the late Don Simpson?).

Funny on the Today show they said the complete opposite. That it was definitely him. Here is a link to the video. The expert (who works for the FBI) is convinced it is is Mel. So who is right? Just a warning to any sensitive people they do play some of the tape on the video.

By the way the video on abc does not claim the voice is not Mel's voice. It is the last sentence of the video - No one is denying that the voice on tape belongs to Mel. What they are saying is that the tapes "may" have been tampered with big difference.

Well said! I completely agree with everything.

Honestly, I don't blame her at all for making the tapes. With the way our country handles domestic violence cases, she needed that strong of evidence to prove that he was abusive because no one would believe her otherwise. Even with the tapes, people - media, etc. - are still harping on her. People are questioning her motives for taping him and saying she's a golddigger (If so, what difference does that make? No one deserves to be abused.), rather than talking about the misogynistic and racist things he said.

Though I don't know why this surprises me when there are all those people out there claiming that Polanski shouldn't go to jail.

If Mel was this crazed violent madman, one would think there would have been reports of this behavior from his soon-to-be ex-wife of 26 years. According to the news, she just wrote a letter to the custody judge in Mel's current case describing Mel as a loving and caring father and husband and that there was never any history of violence.

So if he really has gone round-the-bend, perhaps there is some pathological cause?

Then what is her motive for taping him? Is it to show how unstable & dangerous he is & to make sure he doesn't get any custody rights to their child, because she's so concerned for the baby's welfare? Surely, if she thought he might hit her she wouldn't have picked up her baby to stop him. If he's that unhinged, how would she be sure he wouldn't hit her while she's holding the baby?
And if she's out to ruin him, I don't know how much money he has now, but with no more coming in and another family to pay for, how much more than 20 million could she get, unless it'd be that & sole custody.

I just heard another section of tape on the radio this morning. They were talking about how she never said "Thank you" to him for signing her to a record deal. At one point, and this why I think this goes into the realm of drugs or other sort of clinical dementia/craziness, he completely goes beyond the realm of comprehensible speaking. I'm certain he's speaking English but, at this point, it had become gibberish.

I don't condone spousal abuse in any way, shape, or form, but I'm not completely sold on him going to prison at this point. I think he needs help in other ways.

Do I think Mel is bonkers? You bet. I know nothing of Oksana however, I would have to say you have be nuts to be with Mel.

Now whether the tapes are real is a seperate issue for me.
