Hey all! Thought an update of good stuff would help counteract the drama and junk that has been clouding up my wedding plans as of late! So this is going to be a positive - non drama update with a small exception for the update about ADH.
Update - I haven't heard anything yet 3 days later. End of update.
Okie - on to the good stuff!!
I went for my second fitting on the 13th. I had my niece snap a picture of me in the dress on my Iphone. So it's not the best picture at all, but you get the idea of how it's coming!
But though seeing this picture, I realized how I hate my upper arms and want to cover them so I went out and purchased this Alfred Angelo bolero to cover that problem up asap!
It will be in two weeks before the wear date the bridal shop gave the company which was October 3rd... so mid-late September I think!
I've been working on the favors, which are almost done! I just need to get the candles and stickers. I decided to do them myself instead of ordering them from Yankee Candle, as the only blue votive that they'll let you do for the custom candles is baby powder, and I really don't want Baby Powder scent. So I'll do them myself ordering everything through Ebay and save about 25.00. But this is what the favors look like right now.
Since Disney will only put out 3 items on the table or something like that - we combined everything into one 6 x 9 organza bag. We have the CD in there as well as bubbles that we were going to use instead of the rose petals. I figured I might as well give them out as favors instead of keeping them forever.
We got Rob's cuff links and wedding ring. The ring is much darker than I thought it would be, but he loves it and it seems to be indestructable!
And the cufflinks - we're both really pleased with them - very good weight and look!
I bought what may be the smallest Model in the Bottle err.. bottle for the day of the wedding.
I think that's enough for my face - LOL! Looked a lot bigger on Ebay, but oh well!!
ANYWAYS, I'm still not sure what I'm going to do as far as earrings for the day. My step-mom is buying me a strand of pearls to wear and my dad bought me this bracelet from Ross Simons that I was admiring..
So I was thinking about going with a blue topaz stud earring in the bottom hole and covering up the other holes. I don't want to do pearls, because I really like color - I don't really own any white in my wardrobe (well except for one big exception
). I'm also looking at multi-gemstones as well... will be posting back with pictures and ideas!
That's about all for now. The ceremony is just about done - just tweaking a few things here or there. The song choices are set - the two that we needed to pick were the grooms entrance and the recessional. Rob picked "Real Love" - John Lennon, and I finally chose "Shiny Happy People" - R.E.M. for the recessional, since we couldn't come up with anything else! lol I mean when in our lives are we really going to be shinier, or happier??
I can't believe we're down to 49 days - it feels like there's so much left to do and no time left to do it in!! Thanks for all your good wishes, hugs and pixie dust - you ladies are awesome -there's no way I could have done all this without you!! So

I apologize for my absence on your PJ. You look so beautiful in your dress and I think that bolero will look fabulous with it!
also, that is what our WC recommended so that we have enough time to get from one place to another along with time for pics. the way i'm looking at it, it's the biggest day of your lives and regardless of the timeline it will fly by. I think a little more time in between gives you a chance to stop and smell the roses rather than be here, be there... cha cha cha.
