I have the evenings of October 8th and 9th booked (we are going to MNSSHP). I can put you on my reservation also to make sure you get the free room!

Just let us know! :goodvibes

Oh yes I called the Reservation Goddess Anaeli (who I just think is awesome!!!) and talked to her about the room block. It looks like we'll be about 2 nights under what we need to get the free night. So we'll just pay for it, not a problem; we were just going to have it at POFQ anyway as we didn't feel like hotel hopping!

But seriously - I can't say enough nice about Anaeli - if you get her as your reservation consultant type person she's awesome! (And I wasn't paid to say that! lol)

We have Anaeli too and she's awesome. :thumbsup2
We are waaaaay over on our room block. We had the opposite of your problem - more people said yes than we expected! If you need some reservation numbers, let me know!! And actually - there's a name showing on my room block report that I dont recognize - is David Resnick one of yours?

I also finally got Rob's cufflinks - I don't have them yet, but here's the website picture

I also want to show you the toe rings I got. I wanted to have one hidden Mickey somewhere on me for the day. So I found these toe rings on Ebay - 12 for 5.00! They're actually of good quality and have held up pretty well. Here are the ones that I'm not wearing at the wedding although I'm tempted to wear the light blue one...

If anyone wants the sellers name, just let me know and I'll pass it along. Great product and service!

Ok, I must know where you got the cuff links and also the seller for the toe rings! How freaking cute!! My MOH has hidden mickeys in her bouquet, but no one else does - be great to get them the toe rings!

BTW, we also defected from Boardwalk. Brandon and I are now over at coronado with our entire wedding guest list (except for the ones with timeshares!)

Meg!!! The Lurkiest of the Loos declares thou shalt not have to pay for thy "free" night due to being 2 nights short on the room block. I'm sure there are people here or on the Resorts board who are going to WDW at that time and can add their ressies to your room block so you can fill it.

At any rate, I am so glad things are sorted and you're moving into your two drama-free months. :thumbsup2 and :cool2:

I still can't believe I called you the Lurkiest of Loos - when I get tired, I get odd... I'm usually very weird! lol! :rotfl:I think I might be ok on the room block, but I'll hunt out some people if not.

The toe rings are adorable! I bought the black one in the parks a few years back, and they hold up well!

I got Tom the same cuff links! Very classy and also very cute!

Awesome deal on his ring! We originally bought Tom a Titanium ring, but I was going to get him a platinum or something for the wedding in Jan (the titanium would be his "play Army" ring). But, he vetoed that! He loves his cheapo titanium ring! Gotta love practical men!

And congrats on keeping your venues! That is really awesome, and I think you'll have more fun!

Gotta love the practical men! We got the ring in today and it's a nice looking ring - darker than white gold, but Rob's happy as a clam with it! As long as it floats his boat - I'm happy! Now to get my ring... ;)

Thanks for all the good thoughts during the ADH fiasco Heidi - I really did/do appriciate it! :goodvibes

Yeah:cool1::cool1::cool1:

So glad things worked out with ADH. You will not regret it at all. It is such a wonderful location for your reception. Yes, we used the balloon bouquets and to me they made things so much more festive.

Here is a photo of our whole group on the dance floor at ADH. We had 50 people so if you have less you can definately do this photo also. It is great to have one photo of everyone. Misty took this picture from the top floor and we were all down on the dance floor. My only suggestion is if you have less people to maybe squeeze in alittle bit more and maybe to take the photo from by the DJ booth rather then all the way upstairs. You can probably get a closer shot. You can also see two of our balloons bouquets in this photo. We had 6 I believe. One on either side of the staircases coming in and one on each side of the staircases coming down from the top floor and one on either side of the stage.

What are the dates of your room block and where are they? We are planning on heading down soon and maybe you could use our room towards your block.

So glad things are working out.

Linda

Thanks Linda! I wanted a picture to show Rob of what I meant by a Mickey balloon - he actually didn't remember what they looked like! Many thanks for posting (and the good wishes!) :goodvibes

Our block is October 8 - 20 at the Pop or POFQ. :thumbsup2
Meg I am in WDW the same time as your wedding, if you need more reservation numbers pm me and I will be happy to give you mine :goodvibes

Thank you so much! I'll PM you for it - just in case! :goodvibes

Thanks a million! I just got your PM - will be sending you back one! October 8th and 9th are in my block!! :thumbsup2

We have Anaeli too and she's awesome. :thumbsup2

I don't know a David Resnick, but don't we have a wedding triplet around here? Maybe she has him! :confused3 But I'm glad you have Anaeli too! I'm going to make her a "Reservation Goddess" plaque and send it down - she's been awesome with this whole thing!

The cufflinks were here: http://www.cufflinkaficionado.com/mickey-mouse-ears-cufflinks.html

The toe rings are here: http://cgi.ebay.com/LOT-OF-14-DISNE...in_0?hash=item4a9a1dfed9&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14

Really really pleased with that seller - wicked fast shipping and the toe rings hold up! I've been wearing one for the past week, just to test it - and it looks really well! :thumbsup2

It's too bad about the Boardwalk! It would have been cool, but CS and POFQ still rock! :goodvibes

I thought a visual aid of how I'm currently feeling would be helpful. Hence - the visual aid -

Remember the hole keeping ADH thing? Yeah well, it seems that I'm not meeting my food and beverage minimums by almost 1700. So unless I add extra food in, I have to pay the extra. I've proposed a few alternatives to my WP, which include ending the reception early (according to my contract the minimum is 1475 if you end before 5 and we were scheduled until 5:30), moving the whole thing to Ariel's or the Attic, or even changing the ceremony time. We'll see what floats. I'm kinda at the point that the ADH isn't worth this much stress. :headache:

I also lost France today as my Dessert Party. It's just so Arrgh!!!!

OK, #1, I can totally eat $1,700 worth of food - just tell me when to show up.

And #2, ending the reception early to beat the switch-over to higher food and beverage minimums is BRILLIANT! No one's going to miss 30 minutes.

And #3...

I also lost France today as my Dessert Party. It's just so Arrgh!!!!

ACK! So where are you now?

Oh, I hope you feel better soon.....everything will work out! It sounds like you have some great backup options! Hang in there!:grouphug:

:grouphug: Sorry you're going through all this stress. Sounds like you have your ducks in a row with back-up plans so I'm sure everything will work out fine--but I know it's stressful getting there. Hang in there:goodvibes.

Sorry you are having so much trouble with ADH. It is a great place but maybe moving might be a better alternative. Ending your party at 5:00 instead of 5:30 is a great idea if you can do that. Ariels is also a great place. I like that you can still have your large tables and a dance floor. The Attic seems like a great place also but you would have to have people sitting at smaller tables and not sure about a dance floor. What I like The Attic as opposed to Ariels is The Attic has a great balcony that you and your guests can go out on and with Ariels you need to stay inside your room.

Good luck with whatever you choose and keep us posted.

Linda

Oh no! Hopefully they will let you end the reception early.

If they don't, couldn't you add that much in food? Maybe add a few more things to the cocktail hour, up the beverage package, serve the cake with chocolate covered strawberries...

Sorry about losing the DP location, where are they putting you now?

Good luck with everything.

#1 - October 12th is the time to show up - October 11th if you want to do the rehearsal thing. Remember - there is going to be a ton of Cake!! :lmao:

#2 - I'm actually stealing the ending the reception early idea from you! :thumbsup2Wasn't yours 3 hours?

#3 UK Upper - stuck with the tables - which I'm not thrilled with. But in my line of worries - it's really a non-problem.

Thanks ladies! I think I've reached a hakuna matata stage with the ADH - either it happens with the backup plans or it doesn't. I don't have time for the drama/stress! I think my options that I gave were pretty reasonable right?

Thanks Linda  I would like Ariel's before the Attic if I have to change. I want to be able to dance, and there doesn't seem to be much room in the Attic for people to do that. And it doesn't really fit into the whole "theme", although we could argue a 1940's style dance hall doesn't fit either! LOL

They stuck us in UK Upper where those darned tables are. Not too jazzed about that, but at this point I'm ok - in the grand scheme of this whole thing it's really minor.

The reason I'm balking at adding food is that it seems like we'll already have a ton of it. I feel like I've read a ton of PJ's where they've said they had way too much food. :confused3 Although they could give me some of those strawberries - those look totally yum!! :cutie: Thanks muchly though and keep your fingers crossed!

oh Meg!! I'm so sorry you have more stresses to deal with!! I hope you can end early for the lower F&B minumum. i can't believe they bumped you out of your DP with less than 2 months to go!! UGH!

As far as your DP goes - UK Upper has a great view of IllumiNations and just think - you do not have to spend money to bring in tables - but I guess you need to add money.

Ariels is a beautiful location - love the lower dance floor.

Linda

I'm so sorry they bumped you! How can they do that?

I think you should definitely end the reception early. I dont think 30 minutes is worth that much more money. How long is it supposed to be?

I'm sending you good vibes :goodvibes:

I just wanted to send you a hug.... I'm getting stressed out too! So here is another hug...

Aw Meg I'm so sorry! But I am totally free that evening to up your numbers for the DP if you can get France back. Heck I may even still have my aunt and uncle and cousins plus my MOH and her DBF in town so I can bring a gaggle of 7, 8 if Jeff is off. Heck I can invite the whole guest relations department if you need me too. They love to eat :thumbsup2

Aww Meg that totally sucks!! Keep us updated on ADH. I don't understand either how they can bump you from France!

 Aw Meg I'm sorry!!!! Let us know what you planner says about ADH. UK is a beautiful location.

I am in with Carrie and Becky... i am free too to have some food and cake...MMMM MMMMM! .. oh and to see you of course! hehe!!

Im sure there must be a way the planner can work with you to get what you want. I dont know too much about the damn minimum things so i cant help in that area.. soz!

But i am here for a hug! Here is a hug!

Ok Meg, when I last read this you were all Drama free, what happened chicky!!! Between all of us on here we can certainly figure out a way to fix this though. On my trip last month we watched Illuminations from the UK terrace and it was lovely, great view and a bit secluded which was nice, you will love it I am sure :)

Now the ADH thing I agree with Becky.... BOOOOOOOO!! No fair that they can bump you so close! Keep us posted I am sending you lots of pixie dust Meg:wizard:

Awe Meg sweetie i'm sorry you are having to deal with all this so close to the wedding....:hug::hug:

I'm down with everyone else... I'm coming down for food and cake! :thumbsup2

As far as the DP goes i've heard good things about UK upper. (even though its not really what you wanted) But hopefully you'll be able to get france back.

As far as the whole ADH thing goes it stinks.... really stinks. I hope there is some way that your WP will work with you, i think ending the reception half an hour early is a great idea! I hope they'll allow it! Keep us posted!
