I say do what YOU want to do, not what everyone thinks you should. Then again, it's really hard to tell from the picture because it's not face on, showing the other ear. I think if you choose small, dainty wedding-ish earrings it should be fine.

Meg,
Just read your entire planning journal and it's great! I'm getting married 5 days after you so I see how much you already have done and I realize how much I still have to do! LOL!!!

Can't wait to read more! :)

LOVE the invites Meg, they are super cute! It's fun getting response cards back! That's been my favorite part. My mom and I guess how many we will have each day and see who gets the closest! As far as the earrings, I say stay true to yourself. It's your wedding day, do what you want and what you are comfortable doing. You are going to look beautiful no matter how many earrings you have!! =)

Meg I love the invites. They are so professional looking, you did an amazing job! :thumbsup2 I think the earring thing is up to you. Only you know what you are comfortable with and what you will be able to live with looking at years down the road.

I personally think it will look fine as long as they are pretty earrings. Doing them in your wedding colors is a nice touch!

Awesome invites Meg! Love all the blue, where did you get them if you dont mind me asking?

Oh and I am getting majorly excited for our shopping/Starbucks trip:goodvibes

If it is you, then go for it. If you think that you will regret it down the road. then I say one.

I'm thinking I'll regret it if I take them out - I'm also afraid that I'll see all these little empty holes in my ear and it will look odd.

I have/had 8 holes on both sides going back in the day (before I started working at a conservative law firm ;)) .

This weekend I was going through old photos, and came across one of me in my cousin's wedding, where I had all 16 earrings in, and honestly, you can barely tell after the first 2. So I say, if it's what you want to do, then do it.

I also know that when for the longest time when I was used to wearing the earrings every day, I would randomly "realize" I didn't have earrings in and it would freak me out - like I lost them. If you're used to wearing them, I think you'll be uncomfortable without them.

P.S. do you mind me asking what kit you used for the invites. I'm going crazy trying to find something that everyone can agree on, and yours are so friggin cute!

I would feel weird without them! I've tried to only wear like a few and it just feels odd, but that could be me. :rotfl:

Here's a picture of the box that they came in -
photo-2.jpg

They were from Michaels - I think it was "supposed" to be 40 dollars for the kit, each which makes thirty invites. But I used one of their 40% off coupons, so they were really reasonable. They have different colors too! If you decide to go with them, let me know and I'll have Rob tell me what the trick was to printing them - because there was a trick! :goodvibes

Hi Meg! I think the earrings look just fine with your hair! My sister has several holes in one ear and I believe she just wore white and gold studs in all of them. If it's your personality, totally go for it. don't let anyone tell you, you need to be different b/c it's your wedding day! :goodvibes

Thank you Theresa! :goodvibes That's the way I'm going to go. I think I'll try it out and then post what it looks like. I don't want it to be too flashy, but something like your sister did.

That's what I'm looking to do! It's not going to be over the top, unlike most other things about me! lol.

I can't wait to get some RSVPs back! I started looking today and Rob's making fun of me - he's like "They haven't even gotten them yet!! :lmao: Good thing he's not marrying me for my patience!

And thanks! :goodvibes I wish I could get my family to agree with your last sentence. You should see the controversy on Facebook about this!!

Awesome for being in their blog. I love it. The roots seem so wonderful! As for your family, send them this way and we will tell them how it is! We have your back!!!!

I was on facebook and saw the roots update. Great Photos!! I'm sure you won't be able to choose between them all.

I just read through your entire pj and everything looks fantabulous. :)

I just have one teeny tiny complaint... I voted for the second dress and eagerly went through every single page to see a picture of you in it and I can't find a picture. Did I miss it somewhere or are you not posting it because the df is on here now?

Oh and I vote studs in all holes, I love the hair/make up picture of you. :)

Thanks you all! I loved my 15 minutes of fame on the Roots blog - I now have my guest book to post, but that's the next post <evil laughter!> What no evil smilie? Drat! :rotfl:

I haven't posted the picture of me in said dress because of a very nosy DF. I actually have my second fitting tomorrow afternoon, so I'll see if I can get a picture while I'm there. :thumbsup2 If so, I shall def. post and keep him away from the computer!! I'm sorry about the let down after reading the PJ and not seeing it! :goodvibes And thanks for the vote for the earrings! I'm going to go with all holes, and my step-sister (MOH) is going to run interference with my parents until it's too late and we're out the door! LOL:lmao:

I have to share the goodness of the guest book the Roots put together for me. I completely forgot that we get a guest book with our package - enjoy!

We're still having Donald and Stitch though. :thumbsup2

So what do you all think?

The budget looks pretty good!! :thumbsup2

Can't wait for pictures of the dress. And PS awesome Roots photos. It makes me so jealous!!!

Hi Meg

You looked gorgeous at the trial. I think you should leave your earrings in if it feels more like you. There's no reason to change into someone else for the day. If you want it to be less noticeable, you could choose very small studs (like for babies, that size) and choose all pearls or all "diamond" studs or something like that. But, if you want blue Mickeys, it's your day! :)

I also think your floral budget looks awesome. It seems like you're getting a lot for the price. :)

I love your guest book! We paid for one, too, but they forgot about it (and we forgot to bug them!). It's really disappointing now that I see how great yours is!

I miss so much when I'm gone! Everything is coming together so wonderfully! I def. think you should keep your earrings in...it's you and it's your (and Rob's) day, so who cares what other people say?! I can't wait to see pictures!!
