4 months left!!!!

I don't even want to think about it! AHHH so much left to do, and way too little time!

So I counted last night and I have 35 definites coming. And I haven't even sent out the invitations yet! I'm wondering if we're going to go above 50... that would be interesting....

I just wanted to say that our definites dropped as time went on. I think alot of people really wanted to come and then they decided that they couldn't make it because of a bunch of different reasons! I would like to see what happens with your numbers and hope it doesn't go too far over 50!

I wish we had 35 - we are at 60 and I havent sent invitations yet either. I did some "worst case" estimating and it was 71. HMMMMM - funny how that happened when our goal was 40 when we started!

I started a "to Do" list for what I had left to work on, and its crazy long!! We need to help keep eachother sane during the next 4 months!

Thanks muchly! I think I'm almost dried out from all that rain - I felt waterlogged for a while! I think I saw what Noah had to deal with, when he was in his ark!

When he was young warthog...(when I was a young warthog!!! Very nice - thanks!) he found his aroma lacked a certain appeal - he could clear the savannah after every meal. (I'm a sensitive soul... though I seem thick skinned.. and it hurt that my friends never stood down wind!)

We'll see where the definites end up - I got two more yesterday that I wasn't expect to come. Who knows where we'll end up yet! Dad says - Hakuna Matata as well!

The Invitations... dum dum dummmmmmmmmmmm!!

I had this whole post set out with updates, but I did it in the middle of that blackout so I lost it. Blecch. But let me unveil the invites that I made this weekend. It took me two days, sitting in front of the laptop watching Dragnet Season Four (the real Dragnet from the 60s). I now am going around saying random phrases like "That seems real hinky""Fink!"and "Just the facts ma'am"

Now with no further ado...

And we weighed them down at the post office, and each one can go for 44 cents! So total postage cost for 60 invites is something like 53.80 (each RSVP needs one as well!) I had visions of 200.00 in postage! Go us!

Now I'm going to go work on my to do notebook - we're down to less than 4 months!

PS - any grammar issues in the invite are to do a slight mixup. Rob printed the invites (we made them look kind of weathered), and he did it before I woke up on Saturday thinking he would be helpful. I had a new version of the invites with changes to it as far as grammatical issues and re-wording. He had them all printed when I got up. I am not complaining because if I do, that will be the end of the helpful Rob! lol! It's not going to matter anyways!

Meg, I love love LOVE those invites! Can you do a simple tutorial for me! I think they are my favorite of all the ones I've seen! AND for minimal postage! That's awesome! That's so cute that Rob wanted to help and printed them all for you, even if it wasn't the revised version. How thoughtful!

Thanks for the compliments! I did make them out of a kit, but I changed the ribbon in the middle, added the hydrangea accent and Mickey myself. They went out in the mail on Saturday morning! Now to see what we get for people coming. I go from one extreme to another - either we're going to have everyone or no one. I'll keep you updated.

I have a question for you all and I wish I could change the poll. I'm having a minor disagreement with all the women in my family as far as this one issue. They all disagree with me on this... what is it? The big issue is what earrings should I wear at the wedding.

Ok I can hear you all going what the? Well, I have 7 earrings in my left ear and only one in my right. Why only one in my right? I sleep on that side! So everyone has been telling me that this is going to be the one day that I'm going to only have one pair of earrings in. I was ok with this until I saw the pictures from my makeup trial. I didn't think it looked bad.

What do you think? Do you think it looks ok like that? (Assume that I'll put in studs that match my wedding colors) I like it - it's very me!

I have/had 8 holes on both sides going back in the day (before I started working at a conservative law firm ) .

This weekend I was going through old photos, and came across one of me in my cousin's wedding, where I had all 16 earrings in, and honestly, you can barely tell after the first 2. So I say, if it's what you want to do, then do it.

I also know that when for the longest time when I was used to wearing the earrings every day, I would randomly "realize" I didn't have earrings in and it would freak me out - like I lost them. If you're used to wearing them, I think you'll be uncomfortable without them.

P.S. do you mind me asking what kit you used for the invites. I'm going crazy trying to find something that everyone can agree on, and yours are so friggin cute!

Hi Meg! I think the earrings look just fine with your hair! My sister has several holes in one ear and I believe she just wore white and gold studs in all of them. If it's your personality, totally go for it. don't let anyone tell you, you need to be different b/c it's your wedding day!
