I am sure this is the question of the day...is there anywhere in WDW to meet Capt. Jack? I was there in Feb. and saw the mini "show" with Jack outside POTC. This trip my teenage sister is going and she is in love with Jack (as are my others I am sure!) :lovestruc I would love for her to get her pic taken with him if possible.

Thanks!

The last time we were there, there was a spot you could meet Captain Jack. It was in Adventureland near the Swiss Family Robinson Tree House, just down from the Dole Whip stand.
It's not very advertised other than a small sidewalk sign that says "Meet Captain Jack". If there is a long line, wait! IT's worth it. And there's lots to look at while you wait. You'll go in to another small room with three or four other people for a "private" meeting with Jack. He'll talk to the kids and you can get a great shot. There was a Disney photog in the room as well. The Jack we had was wonderful. I hope you get the same experience!

Whoa!!! Wait a gosh darned minute! What do you mean by "The Jack we had"??? There's only one Jack, right? What are you implying?

OMG! Thanks soo much for that info..we are really dying to meet jack, and thought you had to be at a special event to do so.. I am really hoping to meet him.. will keep eyes peeled now:goodvibes My sister will be super excited to meet jack!

I have seen him many times talking to a group of kids right outside of the Pirates ride. Also right across from it you can meet Capt Hook & Mr Smee

Thank you! I will be on the lookout. Keep your fingers crossed for us. :cool1:

Thank you for the information. That is the one thing my six year old DD wants to do. She loves her pirates! :lovestruc

My 7 year old, too!!!! That's ALL she wants to do this trip - meet Capt. Jack Sparrow..... my 5 yr-old wants to meet Will (trying to explain he has to stay on his ship isn't cutting it w/ her!).... I sooooo hope we find this place at the right time!!! Definitely a priority now!!!

That's the Pirate Tutorial. It's GREAT, but it's a show so unfortunately not a 'meet and greet'.

I just got back from WDW and got very frustrated at the fact that Captain Jack was nowhere to be found for 'meet and greets'. I was told by numerous CMs that now you can ONLY 'meet and greet' with the Captain at the Pirate and Princess Parties.

Sorry to burst your bubble... but your sister wont be able to get her picture with the captain unless you are doing a pirate/princess party.

The only other time he is at MK is when he does the Pirate tutorial... and its only for smaller kids... at the end of each show he runs (literally) runs off as if to escape and that's it... no chance for a photo op with him... even when your kid is in the show you wont have an actual photo op so to speak.... If it makes you feel better the pirates/princess party Jack is nothing special... maybe he is good enough for a 6 year old... but way bad... the ones I've seen doing the tutorial are much better... so you lose a photo op but get a better jack... not a bad trade off is it.

He doesn't show at the Halloween party either? My son is a huge Jack fan and it would be so neat to see how he would react. He is 3. ;)

Currently the only time he meets is during the P&P.

He was not out for mnsshp last year (just in the parade).

Sadly it is only at P&PP as far as I know, though I must say I went twice this year and got AMAZING Jack's for photo ops both times, the first night I ran into him a multitude of times and he started calling me his girlfriend....lol.....got some AMAZING shots though, and the likeness was spot on. I swear though the Barbossa they have out in the parade is SO dead-on! OMG now if he did a meet and greet! ~Makes grabby hands~ LOL!

Capt Jack does do meet and greets sometimes - we met him on March 17, 2008 just outside the Pirates ride. I don't know if he was out for St. Patrick's Day or if it was because that was the week before Easter. Anyway, be on the look out because you never know. We were lucky my DD spotted him!

I believe that he can be found sometimes in the same place where Captain Hook and Mr. Smee are, right across from where he does the Pirate Tutorial or what ever the name of the show is, it should be in the Park Times Guide

We did the meet and greet at the last P&P party in June. DS was awestruck! I would check to see if it's possible to to meet him while you are in the park, it never hurts to ask!

I did the meet & greet at the P&PP in May. It was indoors on the right past the Dole Whip Stand. DH didn't want to stay for the party so I sent him back to All Star Movies on the bus and I stayed.

He is by FAR the best WDW actor. He even stays in character on the bus ride home. I met some of his friends who are CMs and they confirmed this. His voice, mannerisms appearance and dialogue were 100% authentic.

But why is the rum gone?

We just got back and he was no where to be found. :confused3 Oh well, maybe next time. :)

Jack was indoors near the Aladdin ride. There is a thread here with phone numbers to call to find characters at any given time. I posted the link to it in my Wish Trip Planning Tips thread.
