Wow! Very interesting indeed! I watched the pilot a while back and was wondering if they were ever going to show any more episodes. I wouldn't be surprised if it was cancelled. Thanks for sharing!

Haven't been able to watch yet but read a few articles from the family. I think some of it is cute but some of it just doesn't sit right. I don't like adults who have programed kids to line up for kisses even if they want to or not. Being 100% clear this is probably due to my own child abuse but once kids don't think they can say no to kissing grandpa whenever he wants it what else are they going to blindly do. I even hate when my nieces and nephews are told to "show them love" if they don't want to kiss or hug me I'll always so no harm how about a high five or knuckle bump? If they still say no I say my goodbyes and hellos with out touch as to me it is so important for kids to know they don't have to ever physically show love if they don't want to.

I'm only about half way through Episode 1 (I only watch during slow times at work, and I don't have many of those right now). I found the conversation between the daughter and her husband about moving very enlightening though. The way she talked about her father as Head of household and how that meant he'd know what to do, made it very clear this situation is more of a religious calling than a casual family decision

Other thoughts along the way . . .

I get that 25 people is a lot of people, but 52 loads of laundry a week seems excessive. We do not do 2 loads of laundry per person, per week in my house . . .
He calls his daugther-in-laws his daughters.

But what really gets me is the family vote to let the couple move out. it's not like they are insulting the family -- they have very serious SAFETY concerns about Jamie making a 90 minute commute after a 12+ hour residency shift. How can you watch your daughter or sister, in tears, concerned for her husband's safety, and tell her that your desire to have the family in the same house outranks that?

Having read these comments and going back and watching the first episode....I don't know; he (the dad of all) is a bit creepy.
