Hey Z-dad! We've missed you! (and I was thinking recently--where's my fellow Hokie???) What have you been up too??

Come and chat with us anytime on Team Focker watch too!
(we just can't print any legendary poems anymore! :rotfl2: )

zdad, could you put names with the beautiful pictures? I missed out on that meeting of the minds. Looks like you had a lot of fun too!

TEminnie, I could see where you get the two mixed up in your mind as I have often been told that I look like a Yeti, or is that I smell like one? Ummmm.

As to whom is knocked up, since it is early morning anything could have happened last night or be in progress right now as we speak. :rolleyes1

Fokker watch alert! Just returned the other night from a 5 night stay at SSR (after a frustating day with the airlines!). I dutifully had my LGMH attached to my trustworth-can't-leave-the-room-without-it backback. However, sadly, I had only 1 fokker watch encounter. While purchasing my MNSSHP ticket at the front desk the CM asked me, quite out of the blue "are you on the disboards?" How'd you know? "I saw your Lime Green Mickey head". LOL! She claims to lurk more than post so here's a shoutout! (You know who you are!)
No other sightings to report...next time I'm laminating two of those suckers together so the rain doesn't melt him!

NedsTJ, glad you had one definite DIS sighting even if you did not get to meet someone who you might have recognized from their posts. That is always the best. I meet so many DISers on my trips and IMO I meet ten 'lurkers' for every single dedicated DISers. I try to encourage them to speak up and say 'hi' cause we are a friendly bunch. :)

The more LGM's the better to see each other with!!

I hope your trip went well after your airline frustrations.

Slightly Goofy/Linda

Thanks. The airline frustrations came after the trip so they didn't ruin anything! It had to do with the weather this past wednesday...had a lot of the east coast socked in. The flight from Orlando to Charlette was ok, no problems. However, Usair (AKA "The Company" according to the captain) ended up canceling my connecting flight to Allentown after we sat on the tarmac for 2 hours. They put me on a flight to philly later in the evening but I managed to snag a flight to Allentown at the last second even though I wasn't even on the standy list. Unfortunatly my checked bag went to philly but USAir delivered it to my house by 10pm the next day. I should have put the LGMH's on the luggage for good luck...

NedsTJ, I say we should all wear LMG's everywhere. Maybe if you had put them on your luggage a kinyard spirit might have spotted them and took extra special care of them just for you.

I have lately thought that instead of just wearing my LGM's on my vacation purse I should wear them every day. Even if I do not happen to run into any fellow DISers they will remind me of that magical place, over the rainbow, where dreams come true. There is no place like 'home', there is no place like 'home'!!:thumbsup2

Amen Sister!

ZDad! I missed you!!!!

I'm starting to get excited for my November quick trip. I've got my LGMH's ready to go, but I have to do them in secret, as the kids have no idea that I'm going.

puggymom, I read the entire set of OZ books when I were but a mere child and the magic has always stayed with me. I encourage the kids that I teach to read to go beyond the one story they know. Do you know how he came up with the name OZ? I do.

Just dropping a quick note that Mrs. T and I are still alive...:guilty:

DW and I have been on a serious DIS hiatus with occasional bouts of sporadic lurkerdom. We've been immersed in RL way too much since we got back from our WDW trip in July. :surfweb: :laundy: :surfweb:

I'm not sure who's maintaining the list at the moment, but it looks like I'll be doing a solo trip (pretty much my first solo trip in 20 years) at the end of the month. I've got a meeting in Orlando on the evening of Dec. 2, and I could not pass up the excuse to visit for the weekend. :rolleyes1

I'll be at POR from 11/30 - 12/3. I'll be watching out for you!

what was the Wizard's name? I can't remember but know that might be part of the answer.:rolleyes1

BeadyLady, the Wizard of Oz got his name because Mr. Baum, casting around for a name happened to glance at his filing cabinet and saw the section marked from O-Z. And thus history was made, as often is, by mere chance. :rotfl:

As with all things, since I was not there at the time I cannot confirm, nor deny, the facts of the matter. However, if a lie is repeated enough it becomes the truth. Is how politics works at least. :scared1:

Go figure - and I thought it was the Wizard's name.

and I will agree about politics - and the workings of them.
Don't forget to vote Tuesday - if that applies to your town/city/village.

BeadyLady, OZ was the name of the country and since the wizard was of that realm I guess that would be his name also. He was also "the man behind the curtain", a real 'humbug' of a man. The name of the town was Emerald City. Did you know that Buddy Ebsen (Beverly Hillbillies) was the first tin man but since he was highly allergic to the makeup/paint he had to relinquish the role? Also "Over the Rainbow" was cut from the movie at one point as not fitting in. We shall not get into the stories of wild debauchery that the Munchkins indulged in. There are children and other innocents around. :rotfl2:

I'm a little new to this whole "Focker Watch" thing! But---I've got my LGMH glued, laminated and ready to hang from my backpack for our trip November 10-15th! We leave on Saturday!!!!
We'll be staying at OKW this trip, so look for me at the Turtle Pond Pool!:cool1:

chickie, welcome to our very exclusive club. I might suggest that you make at least one more LMG and attach it to your lanyard if you wear one. I got the most notice from that.

I still have no idea who the nice person was who left the laminated homemade LGM with keychain attached on my door. It brought tears to my eyes. Such kindness and I did not get to even give them a smile. Fess up. Please?

Slightly Goofy/Linda

Thank You, Linda!
That was very nice of someone to give that to you! Sorry I can't help you figure out who it was.
I bought a new backpack on clearance at Target yesterday for our trip. It says the color is lime green, but it looks too gray to me. So, if anyone sees an "bland" looking lime green backpack with a LGMH attached, just yell "Hey Chickie!". :cool1:
Looking forward to the MVMCP on Nov 12th!!!!!:santa:

chickie, I will look for a dull looking backpack with an interesting looking girl attached. :rotfl2:

Maybe someone should make us some glow in the dark lime green items to make spotting DISers a tiny bit better.

I walked up to a lady at Sunshine Seasons and whispered in her ear "I'll show you mine if you show me yours" when I saw her LGM hanging from her bag. Later on I thought it over and decided that she was a very nice lady not to have turned around and punched me out but she had her beautiful daughters with her and did not want to be a bad influence, I am sure. :rotfl:
