Meet the Fockers! We're watching you...

OMG!!!! You just sparked an early memory, S'late!! I loved the Weebles and the Tree house. I think they had a whole set, just like the Little People, no?

I think so. There was a car, a picnic table, swingset, seesaw, beds, etc. Do you remember you turn the little crank on the trunk to make the elevator go up and down? Don't the Disney tree houses have a spiral staircase in the "trunk." Coincidence? I think not!

Don't forget the yellow slide!! I've dropped many a Weeble down that little yellow slide. :lmao:

I've never seen the Disney Tree Houses. :confused3 Where are they??

Well, my friend, two Lapu's and I'll tell ya! :thumbsup2 Just kidding. If you take the boat from POFQ to DTD, you'll pass them. When you're not even paying attention, BAM, they there are...on the left.

So this is a playground or what?

No, but there's an idea! These were the Tree House Villas that were partially destroyed a few years back. I don't know which hurricane. From what I have read, there's something about protected wetlands, and ADA requirements so it was too expensive to refurb them. Some are still in working condition, so students in the college program live there. Some just looked like storage for old pool chairs. The vacant ones are just sitting there going to the bad.

Sweet!! That would be sooo cool to stay there! That really sucks they can't be rehabed. :sad2:

Jeez, UPS just delivered my Disney.com order...it's 8:30pm!!! Well, at least it got here!

A certain DISer will think back to when she was 5.

Then she will remember her toy A frame house and the little bell.

I still have my A-frame house with 'some' of the toys. I can't wait to give it to my DD.

My sister had the treehouse ... not sure where that went. We had a great time playing with these.

Thanks for the memories!

My family and I back in the Treehouse Villas in 1979. Yes, I'm the one on the right with the "fro", much to the amusement of my kids now:

The treehouses look a great place to stay, we passed them several times on the boat from POR, it's a pity they can't refurb them!

Oh Tracy what did you get??????

Bwahahaha!!! I got Evan some new Disney PJ's. They were on sale for 2/$15, so I bought 4 pair and the shipping was a flat $5. I know they'll be cheaper in a few months, but he needed some now! ;)

OMG do you realise how much kids official Disney PJ's are over here? They're around $25 plus for one pair :scared1: My DD's only ever had 1 pair which my DSis bought :rotfl2:

We used to stay at the Treehouse Villa's way back when. It was $100 a nite then and was a huge extravagance but worth it for the extra spread out room not to mention the teeny tiny kitchenette. I loved the fact that it was away from everything and after a long day at the parks it was a calm quiet place to be

marciemi, I still have a Fro. My hair does what it wants to do and there is nothing to be done about it. Even though all you can see is the tip top of my head in my first grade picture you could still pick me out, same hairstyle. :scared1:

sorul82?, I love your Weebles poem. Ever notice that the best toys are not the ones with batteries? They run on imagination and that is far better. I have a friend who build a multimillion dollar home and the thing that impressed me the most was the upstairs hall closet with track lights that contains all of her kid's FP toys. They look like they have never even been played with. Brought back a whole lot of memories. :wizard:

OMG! Do you want me to buy you some? I got Evan 4 pair and the total was $35!

:rotfl2: Ok, I was expecting like Swiss Family Treehouse style! LOL!

What the heck was that picture of? The tree houses are round.

I don't think they'd fit :rotfl2: Thanks for the offer anyway, we're definately going shopping one day while we're over there, probably Florida Mall, any good?

When you go past on the boat they look as if they're on stilts!

I'm not familiar with the Florida Mall. I've heard about some outlet stores on the DIS. Check the budget board, maybe. :confused3

Ok, I'll have to look for them! ;)

disney shopping just sent me an e-mail with PJ's (the shorts ones) WAY on sale...I think $10?

The outlets are on the same exit as Downtown Disney, but on the otherside of I4. You can see them from I4. Google Florida Premium Outlets.

We went to those outlets last time and got a few bargains except they had nothing to fit Jess at all! So this time we wanted normal shops, as the $ is so good at the moment everything is still good value. Also we don't have a car! I would love to go to a Walmart or target too but doubt if that's possible. I've found the best way is using Lynx buses, unless you tell me otherwise, last time we got a taxi from DTD to the outlet and I hate watching the ticker go up
