I joined Connections to order the quick and casual vouchers. I called today 5/3 to confirm that they would be good after 5/03. They said that all that they have expire at the end of the month, but will have new vouchers that exp. in 6 months in a couple of weeks.
Then I called Disney to see if I could buy them directly. She said no, that vouchers could only be bought through packages and they could not guarantee the validity of the Connections vouchers!
We leave on 5/31. I really wanted to buy some of these, but now am concerned about turn around time if I order in 2 weeks and after the "Disney" call, the validity of the vouchers through connections.
HELP!!!

Don't worry about the "validity". I would expect Disney employees to say that. They say that about some of the online ticket brokers, too. Many, many people (including me) have used the vouchers without any problems. They are exactly the same as those Disney gives out for some of their packages. The only thing you have to worry about is the expiration date and you already knew that.

FWIW, I think Connections might have an express/overnight option. Don't know how much extra it costs. (I bought the vouchers we used from other DIS'rs).

Hope everything works out. Enjoy your trip!

I ordered 15 of the Quick & Casual vouchers this past Monday (4/28). UPS tried to deliver them on Wednesday, April 30 but I wasn't home (they need to have a person sign for them). I ended up redirecting delivery through UPS's website and they delivered them yesterday (5/2) at my work. I couldn't wait to safely tuck them inside my PassPorter for our November trip this year!

The vouchers have an expiration date of May 31, 2004.

I wouldn't worry about the response you received from Disney. I used vouchers purchased through Connections on our trip in November 2001 and they worked fine. The cashiers at the counter service restaurants just have you sign the voucher and you choose all the food you can buy with it.

I'd go ahead and order them. Just know that they'll send them to your credit card billing address, so if you can plan on being home to sign for the package a couple of days after you order, that's helpful.

I know others have reported problems with Connections, but I have been extremely pleased with how quickly they send out your order. I haven't called to cancel my membership yet, but last time it was very easy - they had an automated phone system and I didn't have to speak with someone trying to talk me into keeping the membership. That's a plus in my book! If I experience problems when I call to cancel this time, I'll post it here.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

If you are wanting Breakfast vouchers wait and make sure the expiration date is for May 2004. Last year the Q & C were available earlier then the Breakfast vouchers with the new expiration dates.

I have used then as well and had no problems whatsoever.

The shipping is also very quick. I got mine within days of ordering them. Just check back in a week or so for the date and you should be fine.

Thank you so much. I'll try Connections again in about a week. I plan to order my tickets from Mapleleaf this week, another tip that I learned from these boards.
Thanks!!

By the way we used our Q & C vouchers at Pepper Market and Beaches and Cream. These were both unbelievable values.

When we went to Pepper Market there were 6 adults. I think all but one of us ordered the Ribeye which is pretty good. The steak and side is $16.99 by themselves so we got of real cheap here.

Have a great trip,

I received my vouchers last week and they were 5/04 expiration dates. When I called Connections to order, no one could tell me when they expired. One said they had no expiration date, one said 6 months, and one said they just weren't sure!! They did tell me I could return them if they were 5/03.

Tinkerbell211- What is Mapelleaf? Is it another place to buy ticket? Thanks

We came back a few weeks ago and we used
Connections to purchase the vouchers.
They worked great. No questions!
We only used them at the Food Court in Movies.
They were great.
Since we had the mugs for drinks we got juice for a drink and a muffin for a desert and so we had our breakfast for the next morning.

Have Fun!:earsgirl:
