Meal time questions....

I am totally unfamiliar with how and when seating times on the cruise works. I know we are seated for the late meal (which I think is 8:30??). Can you tell me what time this is and does this affect our other meal seatings as well- ie , breakfast and lunch times? Are there assigned tables for the breakfast and lunch meals and do you eat them in the restaurants on your assigned rotation? What about when the cruise is over- the last day... is your time you'd normally eat affected by that?

Early ("main") dinner seating is at 6:00 p.m.

Late dinner seating is at 8:30 p.m.

Breakfast is open seating -- table service or buffet -- except for your character breakfast (on 7-night cruises) and your debarkation breakfast. For those two breakfasts, early dinner seating translates to early breakfast.

Lunch is always open seating, with a choice of table service, buffets, or counter service.

And room service is another choice.

Yes. Thank you for pointing this out. (I just edited my previous reply.)

The early show (for late dinner seating guests) is at 6:30 p.m., but early dinner is at 6:00 p.m.

"Open seating" means we can sit anywhere we want if we choose table service? And which dining area (table service) is usually open during breakfast and lunch?

About room service, will we get a menu and will it say on it what's free and not free? I'd hate to be surprised with a big room service bill.

About the room service, you do get a menu and it is free for the most part. While a gratuity is not required, one is expected. Many reported also ordering things not on the room service menu and the servers being happy to oblige. Alcoholic drinks, bottled water, and sodas are extra charge

As for the "open seating", Triton's/Lumiere's is usually open for table service lunch and the servers seat you at an available table. If you don't want to sit with strangers, usually it's near empty and you can request a table alone. Parrot Cay, and Topsider's/Beach Blanket Buffet serve buffet lunch too. Junk/fast food options also abound.

So, Triton's/Lumiere's is the only sit down restaurant open for lunch- the rest is buffet or fast food? Do you know what time the debarkation breaklfast for a late seating would be?

Breakfast is at 6:45am for early seating and 8:00am for late seating on the last morning.

Breakfast is in the restaurant where you had dinner the night before. You can always go to Topsiders/Beach Blanket for the light buffet.

Animators is only open for dinners (I believe) Tritons/Lumiers is available for breakfast and lunch (sit down). Parrot cay is for the character breakfast (assigned seating) and lunch buffetts. There's always topsiders for breakfast and lunch.

Animator's Pallate is where they feed the kids lunch if they are in the club over that meal time. Parrot Cay usually has the same type buffet food as is available at Topsiders/BBB, just indoors. There is never a problem finding a table at Tritons/Lumieres if you want a sit down meal. The time is just more limited than the buffets.

You can also get soda free in the dining room during lunch.
