I can't believe I'm starting this PJ. Not only because I'm astounded at a Disney wedding, but also because I'm still attempting to finish the TR from my last trip in Jan 2009!!
As it is, my fiance and I have been engaged for almost a year now and we're totally psyched on planning our wedding. Originally my DF was not even interested in Disney, but the trip a few weeks ago has since changed his mind. And now I get a fairytale dream come true! But, as fellow romantics, I will relive the story of our engagement from last year...
The Proposal
My DF and I have been together for almost 4 years. We're college sweethearts, you could say! We decided to move in together for convenience last year and it worked out wonderfully. Last February I had come home from a very long day of work and class... a stressful one at that.
My DF being the sweetheart that he was decided to put in one of my favorite Disney movies 'Beauty and the Beast' instead of making me watch him play video games as was the usual. Well this was a sweetheart move of him, but I never expected what came next.
As the movie ended I rolled over in bed to shut my eyes and sleep for another long day. DF took my hand and said, "Hey.. wake up." I groaned and looked up at him in a 'this better be good' mood. He sat up in bed and motioned for me to do the same and said, "I need to ask you something. Something important." He looked very nervous, which in turn made me nervous for I suspected it was something bad. He continued to hold my hand and then smiled, sensing my nervousness. "I've loved you for years and I can't imagine being without you. I'm sorry this isn't very romantic or special.. but.. will you marry me?" and he pulled out the ring.
It was a plain proposal, but that's how we are. I loved it. I couldn't take a great picture of it with my camera, so here is the website photo:
It's small but perfect for me! I'm a small person! Anyway, we traveled to WDW 3 weeks ago to celebrate our engagement (a year later) and it was the time of our lives. Obviously, since we wanna get married there now!! Ah yes, and here is the happy couple:
So now that you know a bit about the couple... we'll begin to plan the wedding! I'm totally clueless on wedding planning because I've only ever been in one.. my sister's.. I was the maid of honor. But you'll all help me right?!
Please???
This should be a fun ride!
