ME with SW

If I book SW, it is separate from the Disney package...how do you arrange for ME? I'm presuming you call Disney and tell them your flight info and ask for ME??? Help!! In the past, we've always done everything through Disney but now SW is so much less money, and no baggage fees.

Hi!
You can absolutely book your airfare through Southwest. I have done it for my past two trips.
Are you using a travel agent? If you are, give your TA your Southwest flight numbers and your TA will submit it to ME and you should receive a confirmation email and a letter with your luggage tags.
If you are not using a TA, call ME on the phone and you will need your Disney Reservation number and your Southwest Reservation numbers.
You still will receive a confirmation email and luggage tags in the mail. If you don't get your luggage tags, don't worry! ME will still take care of it at the airport. You will need to stop at the counter and talk to the Cast Member.

In the two times I have used the ME in the past year, I received luggage tags once and other time I did not. I received my luggage with no problems!

No problem. If you are using a TA, that agent will have to call and have DME added to your resort reservation. If you booked your resort yourself, you can just call Disney and have DME added. Your DME packet should arrive about 3 weeks prior to travel...if it doesn't, call DME and make sure they have you in their system.

Thanks for your replies! We've never flown SW before, so a new experience. I figured it wasn't hard but just making sure I know what I'm doing. Starting to get excited for our September trip.
