ME & wheelchair?

We (DH and I) are headed to our happy place in December. This will be our first time using ME and having DH be in his chair. I understand the buses are the coach variety, I think this means he will need to climb the stairs on the bus to get to his seat, yes? Or do they have a lift? He can do the stairs, it will be uncomfortable for him, but it will be a short lived uncomfort..... He is able to walk short distances etc, but stairs etc are an issue.

See the disABILITIES message board for much more information, but yes, DME can handle Guests in wheelchairs. Make SURE you let them know in advance that you will need a bus that can accommodate a wheelchair, and make ABSOLUTELY sure you let them know more than a day in advance of your return trip

Let them know in advance and also when you check in at ME although it should be obvious to them at that point.

We used it once in the first month that ME operated. Our driver had trouble with the lift but it sounds like those problems are over.
