ME question regarding SW Airlines

I just booked through Disney the Magical Express Service. Now, my question is, the CM at Disney said to me, she just needed the flight numbers and that I would get something in the mail.

Given that SW is not part of the ME, how does it work? Do I just take whatever they send in the mail with me, pick up my bags, and go to the ME bus location at the airport?

I am so glad you asked, I have the same situation in Feb. I usually use Southwest, but have yet to book for Feb, still hoping for a better rate. Anywho, just getting in on your thread so I know what to do too.

Have a magical day!

Participating airline only matters with the the resort checkin option for your return back to MCO. Put the yellow tags on your luggage and it will be picked up behind the scenes and delivered directly to your hotel room.

Your luggage will have to go under the bus for your return to MCO.

ALL airlines "participate" regarding arriving passengers.
Put the yellow DME tags on your luggage before you check it at your home airport.
In Orlando, before any luggage is put on the carousels, DME will pull all DME-tagged luggage behind the scenes, load it on luggage transport (aka trucks) and deliver it to the appropriate Disney resorts.
The DME bus will deliver you to your resort; the DME luggage truck will deliver your luggage, where it will be sorted and delivered by Bell Services/Luggage Assistance.

Participating airline only ACTUALLY comes into play on the return flight. As a Southwest passenger, you will have to bring your luggage to the bus, have the driver stow it underneath, then check it in at the airport yourself (otoh, I [for example] can check my luggage at Pop's Airport check-in counter, get my boarding pass, a DME truck will transport my bags to the airport where they will be checked through to my home airport; all I have to worry about is getting me and my carry ons to the DME bus on time)

So, in other words - I should make sure (especially getting in at 9:30AM before my room will likely be ready) to have everything I need on me as opposed to in my luggage.

Everything? No. What would be the point of checking luggage :)
But a carryon with items you'd need immediately like a swimsuit, change of clothes, basic toiletries (in addition, of course, to the standard valuables/travel documents/medications)? Absolutely. That's just good advice no matter where, how or when anybody travels.
