ME Bus full of people is left at Gas station by driver

I am glad I am gone from FLorida. I just got a call from my friends in Orlando and they told me that last week or the week before a ME bus was left at a gas station by a pissed off driver and it was full of people !!!!OUCH!!! I hear that the drivers are being either fired or are quiting one after the other. They even changed the look of the uniforms they wear. They no longer have mears badges on them..

I was told that the drivers were loading the buses and then just walking away from the bus after it was full at the airport...

I hope Disney removes Mears from the ME and puts in there own buses! I hear they have 1000 bus drivers already for their own system. Maybe they can extend it a little more to include the ME!!!!

ME is bound to appeal to some and not to others - just as rental cars and town car companies appeal to some and not to others! Geesh, whatever your problem is with ME - let it go!

As you read the post from yomecage, please consider yomecage's track record on DIS Forums.

Some will conclude that yomecage has an agenda against Magical Express. After all, yomecage posted an identical negative post about ME 8 times -- even twice to the same thread! Then yomecage posted a few one-sentence posts on other subjects, possibly to appear to be a real Disney guest.

I don't doubt that some drivers have quit, either because they're not getting the tips they had hoped for, or because they don't like the job, or because something better has come along for them. But I hardly think that drivers are routinely loading the ME motor coaches and then just walking away.

I will continue to be interested in real reports about ME from DIS participants who have a history here. My conclusion from such posts is that ME check-in and transportation is now working quite well, but that the delivery of luggage to the resort rooms is a problem for guests who expect immediate delivery (but not a problem for guests who go off and have fun and then find the luggage in their rooms when they return).

I had heard this through the rumormill too. But don't know the original source, or if it is true or not. I can verify it is a rumor.

I also notice a lot of ME bashing post from people who have posted less than 25 times since the start of ME.

I am sure this posted was relying on the fact that there are other "less than 25 posts since the start of ME" trolls out here.

Please stop with the ME bashing....I know towncars are feeling the pressure because ME is very popular. Just look at the post on this board. Every other post is about ME. The staff at the ME department is so overwhelmed that they can't kept up. But once Disney and the ME staff works out all of the bugs ME is going to be a force in Orlando transportation industry. As long as they keep the cost included in the price of the room. I will use ME but handle my own luggage. I don't need luggage assistant... I need transporation. I don't overpack to begin with so I don't hav that much luggage to begin with. My DD9 learned this lesson on our recent trip....you pack it you pull it!

There are some legitimate post...from real DISers who had not so magical experiences with ME. We like to read those too! However, those are real post from real and true Disney fans otherwise they wouldn't be on this board planning every aspect of their trip. You can go back and trace how many questions they have asked about different aspects of their upcoming trips. Most people post when they are going at some point. You can read their previous post of their departure date to determine if they really took a trip to Disney to even use ME services to have a valid complaint.

People on this board are smarter than this OP expects them to be. Bottom line: Stop bashing ME with these troll post because the true DISers will spot you and call you out for the troll you are!

If the only way you can keep your business is to spread rumors/lies..... then YOU are doing something wrong.

A few things to consider.... If as the OP claims drivers were just walking away then wouldn't there be a backlog of buses at MCO. I was there last week, buses kept coming and going. Never saw one sit long... I guess those drivers didn't "walk away"

Two, why would the bus have even been at a Gas Station LOL? Those guys don't normally fill up at your local Exxon! LOL!

I looked to see the date this was posted, thinking it was April 1st, because it has all the makings of a good April Fool's joke.

I'm not a fan of ME, I think of it as being akin to Mears, wait--it basically is Mears with a different coat of paint on the bus. But to outright lie about it, that's criminal.

Since there are no details, hypothetically speaking, we'll assume the driver was driving from an MK resort, and pulled straight into the Hess station there. After he/she walks off the bus... umm... then what? How would they get home? Any other job, when you quit and walk off the job, your car is right there.

I haven't read all of your "many" posts, so I probably missed it.. Which limo service is it that you work for? I want to be sure to advise people against using it.. Or maybe you're a cab driver? Any info would be greatly appreciated..

Good point Tyler. And wouldn't they need to return the bus to the depot or account for it if they took a cab back and picked up the car? Really sounds fishy to me.

While I agree that the OP is an obvious troll, I don't think it's fair to lump all the town car companies together. They are independent businesses and have nothing to do with each other. Believe it or not, some of them are just honest guys trying to make a living and would never resort to this type of behavior. Not trying to convince you of anything, that's just my opinion.

While I agree that the OP is an obvious troll, I don't think it's fair to lump all the town car companies together. They are independent businesses and have nothing to do with each other. Believe it or not, some of them are just honest guys trying to make a living and would never resort to this type of behavior. Not trying to convince you of anything, that's just my opinion.
