Arriving on a Delta flight, leaving on a SW flight. SW is now eligible for ME, right? And does using different carriers affect ME at all?

Going home you can check baggage at the resort for Southwest at all resorts except Caribbean Beach and Old Key West.

Doesn't matter what airline or what means you got to Orlando International Airport, or how or when you will go home from there, in order to ride the DME bus.

Reservations are required for DME, one way or round trip. You may not just walk up and catch the DME bus.

ME has nothing to do with airlines. Any airline passenger can use ME. It's RAC, Remote Airport Check-in that has eligible airlines. All it matters is that your return flight is on an eligible airline to check your luggage at the resort.

SW, in fact all airlines, has ALWAYS been eligible for ME. ME has and will bring you to and from your resort no matter what airline you use. The NEW wrinkle is SW airlines participating in RAC (remote airline check-in). In the past SW travelers have had to bring their luggage to the ME bus and shlep it through the airport (or curbside checkin) themselves. NOW, you can bring your bags to the RAC desk at your resort, check you luggage in there and pick it up at your home airport.

BTW, we flew in on Delta and out on SW last year - no issues at all and were one of the early users of the RAC system @ POP - OMG we loved it!!!

Here's the deal....
DME (Disney's Magical Express)..brings you to your resort from MCO and delivers your tagged bags to your room. Then, at the end of your stay, will take you (and bags if needed) back to MCO. This service is provided for every single person who arrives at MCO, on ANY airline, and who is listed on a reservation at a WDW owned reservation. You can use it if you are dropped off at MCO, if you arrive by plane, if you arrive the day before your reservation starts and you stay overnight at the airport.

RAC (Remote Airline Checkin).....allows you go check your bags at your resort and get your boarding passes issued if flying home on a 'participating airline'.
SW has recently begun participating at almost all resorts...(I believe CBR and OKW (I think) are the two that don't allow it yet due to storage issues). You do NOT need to be using DME back to MCO in order to use RAC. You can use DME, you can drive your rental car back to MCO and return it there, or you can use a car service...doesn't matter.
