MDE with sons family linked or family option?

Is there a reason/benefit to do either of the two options:
I have a MDE account and am DVC. My son and his family only go when we take them. Should I just add them to my MDE account or have him create one and then link it to me and give me control? I typically make the fast pass and dining reservations. Would he be able to see the fast pass reservations on his phone if I add them to my list of family?

There are two ways he would be able to see the plans (FP+, dining, etc.) on his phone:

• You give him your MDE user id and password.
• He has his own MDE account and is connected to yours by way of the Family & Friends list.

IMHO, every distinct family unit should have their own MDE account.
