MDE tip board doesn’t show edit selection

So I was watching allears and saw that she had an edit selection one side experiences. I don’t see that on my screen. I deleted and reinstalled the app

Figured it out. Even though we went in Nov, I completely skipped the Genie section.

I had a lot of issues with that while I was there. Sometimes it would be there for me to edit, sometimes it wouldn’t. It seemed like the first couple days it was; then it wasn’t. Then one day mid week it was back. Then the last two days it was gone again.

And uninstalled the app a couple times. It seemed like anytime I wanted to do something it wouldn’t let me. If I wanted to buy genie it wouldn’t load. So every day i wanted to use Ll or ILL I just uninstalled and reinstalled it just to be safe.

So I shouldn’t have set my preference. It looks like the app is even slower now. No wonder the system is so overloaded.

I’m not even in the parks, but we were trying to coordinate Oga’s for next week and my app was freezing (had iPad open as well); didn’t even see it flash by; after 25 mins (yes I was clicking every milli second) I saw a 9:10 am, so someone modified their reservation

I found that setting my preferences was mostly a PITA afterward. The only good thing was that then my main selections showed at the top of the Tip Board and I didn't have to scroll down, looking for them.

But once you do that Genie thing, it populates My Day with a lot of useless (to me) suggestions that appear above one's actual reservations.

It's unbelievable that the Tip Board doesn't know what park you've got a reservation for that day and doesn't just default to that. It always defaults to MK unless you've Genie'd it up. Furthermore, even though it knows you have a G+ or ILL$ for a particular attraction, the Tip Board doesn't show you your time. It only shows you available times, if there are any. No, you have to go to My Day for that.

There are about 100 things that need to be fixed, and that's not even counting the things that should be fixed--like being able to modify one's G+ or ILL$ if a better-for-you time appears--just the ordinary things that fit within the current G and G+ systems that are illogical and anti-intuitive.

For anyone that once had the Edit Selections show as per steps above...but then had it disappear....do you know how to get it to re-appear? Or most important...does it at least re-appear when your trip dates come? We're not coming until end of August but I often check the app to get an idea of what sells out when...and the option is no longer showing. Hoping to have this feature when booking LLs as can see how it would save time for those hard to get bookings.

You have to ‘setup Genie’ - go through the free Genie+ setup to get the selections to appear at the top for each park day:

Yes thanks. I did that and HAD the Edit Selections showing. Then last week, the Edit Selections disappeared. I went back in to see if it would re-add it but it didn't.

Guess at worst I can try re-installing but that makes me nervous in case something else messes up.
