MDE glitch? Everything missing (fp, adrs, resort reservation) Sept 11+

There is a lot of hate / stress / entitlement being thrown around this forum.

The system is down as it isn’t linking reservations and parties - but everybody is impacted to some degree. Some people are luckier than others.

Can I suggest to everyone who is 60 or 30 days out to relax and wait for the system to reload. You may find that because of the disruption you are able to score a FOP that would have been taken by somebody else if there had been no disruption at all. The worst thing that happens is you have to line up for a ride or two. It’s not going to ruin your vacation.

To anybody in the parks who is affected I do feel sorry as it’s a nuisance. I hope you guys can find a way to have a good time.

I don’t consider it wrong to feel entitled to receive something you’ve paid thousands of dollars for. In the case of onsite guests, we are paying for the ability to make FP 60 days out. Disney created this need/system.

I know it’s a frivolous problem. I just got home from visiting my cousin in the hospital who has major health problems. Disney means nothing compared to that. But I’ll still be mad about this, though hopeful they will sort it out. Until then, I’m mad about it... and that’s fine.

For sure. We have paid thousands upon thousands. And Disney built this system upon which they and we rely. Of late, they can’t maintain it properly, and that’s unacceptable.

It’s frustrating that because of their error, some of us are being leapfrogged in line for FastPasses, now by 36 hours, by no fault of our own.

And of course, we can forget about FOP/ SDD when it keeps being delayed longer. my family/ magic bands are gone too. It is very frustrating and unacceptable that they don't seem to care or be doing anything to rectify the situation.

They need to shut down the fast pass system and allow only those who have now missed their 60 day window to catch up !

It sucks how stressful planning a Disney vacation has become!

This is not true. My MDE is a mess, but my brother's is totally fine. I have access to both and helped him book some FPs this morning. Mine is unable to book, missing most of my AP vouchers, etc etc.

So no, all accounts are not impacted. I suspect this is why we are not seeing any "news" or blog articles on this... because it's not everyone. If it was, you'd read more about it. And Disney would be more upfront about what is going on.

I Completely agree with you. I actually had a CM on the phone today tell me this a small problem compared to the things going on in the world. Was she wrong? No. But I about came unglued when she said that. Needless to say I ended the conversation very quickly before I said something I would regret.

Wow.

All of this is a first world problem. But that doesn’t mean that WDW shouldn’t be accountable for fixing this mess they created (including a way to make this up to people who are missing their FP booking dates while others book away).

That wouldn't work because then people would miss their fast pass window.

I feel for you - I do. I would be livid. But it's not a solution.

Magical Enhanced Update!
Two hotels booked plus park ticket.
All linked on MDE.
Then one hotel wasn’t but the other was.
Then it was but the other wasn’t.
Then they both were, but the ticket wasn’t.
Now neither the ticket nor one hotel is!
And to think we pay a fortune for this ineptitude!

I asked when they thought it would be fixed and was told they thought by tonight but it seems the fairy godmother has lost her wand...Really just wasn’t in the mood for that one

My ticket is gone from MDE, and all of the dining reservations that I cancelled are back! For all of the computer experts out there, how
does this even happen???

I understand why everyone is frustrated, but this is a selfish way to think about it. You do realize your solution would cause everyone from now until eternity to have to shift their window from 60 days to 58? Not only would that be a nightmare to enforce, it will screw up other peoples vacations as well. And don't forget there are people at WDW right now who probably can't get more FPs once their originals are done via MDE.

I agree WDW owes proper explanation/apology, but I can already see some people will make ridiculous demands. I can see wanting ONE any ride FP or one for either FOP OR SDD but to ask for multiple FPs would be a bit much. Even if you were able to book right away doesn't mean you'd get either let alone both. I booked FPs the second I could for my Oct. trip and both were already gone minutes after the window opened (BTW, I have been able to get 3 different FOP times in the weeks since by checking back every day). You have to remember that hundreds if not thousands of people are booking the same time as you, not to mention those guests whose trips started days earlier and were already able to select passes. Plus, if they did that for everyone they messed up, the FP line would be almost as long as standby.

Also, keep in mind that the CM you talk to has nothing to do with IT or MDE, and is likely as clueless as you on what's going on.

It would be wildly unfair if they gave anyone multiples FPs that would get you on both SDD and FOP considering most people can't do that even when the system works. I do think they should give you one or the other though (or an any ride). And maybe a gift card for good measure.

I think it's funny! I got 11 new sons overnight! :rainbow::rainbow: Certainly, I qualify for some kind of 'reality show' for that! Right? I also have several husbands. :love2::love2::love2: Not cool! One was plenty. :duck: Will this help my taxes next year? Am I a polygamist? So many questions....

They should open an extra hour for those who have missed the window ?Maybe give an hour “head start” to those who now have missed their windows ? That way everyone else would not miss their booking window.
I guess it made more sense in my mind

It is true that it is unrealistic to get fop or sdd on your 60th day

That is funny ! I, on the other hand, have become a lone ranger

Both my MNSSHP and MVMCP tickets are missing but my AP, my nephew and niece's MNSSHP tickets are there. All my FPs are there. All my ADRs and cancelled ADRs are there. I have the emails for proof I purchased the tickets. I will wait this out. I have proof of payment. Be there in 9 days

Anyone else have old resort reservations reappear? Are they really active reservations I need to worry about? I changed my resorts around a lot to maximize discount and two sets of reservations are showing up. My trip is next week and don’t really want them paying off my balance twice! Uggh...

Just an fyi to to everyone, there's a website where you can track how many FPs are left for certain days, if you want to google it. I just checked and the week of 11/12-11/19 there are still plenty FOP and some SDD on multiple days. I assume this means the outage is fairly widespread and there may be some hope for you guys.

They screwed it up. Not us. They need to fix the problems that Disney, itself caused. We did nothing wrong so why on earth should we be penalized. The real nightmare is they planned an entire theme park experience around an app that has frequent glitches and refuse to man up and pay for extra personnel that would cut the phone wait times down. It’s been over an hour each time I’ve called over the last three days. Before all the Disney apologists yell at me, remember they’ve had our money for months. Months. They tell us to make fast passes and we do and when they go because of their own screw up they say we’ll we can’t fix this. But YOU did it. My husband gave me $6k and said plan a vacation. The only ride he wants is test track. It went missing yesterday and they said there’s nothing I can do about it. Again...YOU DID IT. Fix it. Just fix it. But I’m selfish for wanting what was mine. The degree to which Disney holds its customers in contempt is shocking to me. They should be proactive, figuring what to do and how to fix it. Just letting people wait in a phone for over an hour shows you they don’t care. Just shocking. If there were enough people we wouldn’t have to wait this long. But I guess some people will always have Disney’s back so they know that and do nothing.

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I love that this was posted, I needed this funny. I just emailed them because chat is unavailable and I don't have the patience to wait on the phone for hours. We arrive next week and I'm the only one with a ticket and it's not a park ticket but a party ticket, apparently my DH will not be with me, lol. I'm just more worried about losing the FPs since it doesn't appear that there are no tickets attached and the system will delete them.
