Let's say you're wanting 7DMT but it's currently 1:00 and the FP you finally see is for 7:00. Scrapping is saying to go ahead and take that 7:00 pass and then work on modifying it earlier vs. continuing to just refresh the app and scroll through all available fp's until you find an earlier one.

1) Right now, no, it has reverted pretty much to the way it was before.
2) It's not affecting it right now. They can be made and modified just as before.

Phew. Just read this whole thing. I updated the app - it actually isn't letting me sign in or do anything. It keeps spinning with the screen whited out. After a couple minutes it asked for my password & I gave it. Then it told me to sign in again, spun for a minute, and now it's loaded. That was weird. Anyway. I saw someone ask earlier but, is there now a way to choose whose plans we see? One of my besties lives in Orlando so she always has a bunch of ADRs and FPs booked. Is there a way to filter her out without making her stop sharing plans with me (because I occasionally pop down for weekend trips and like to join her when I can)?

If you are checking for a FP at a different park, at least when you are not in a park currently, you can do so without canceling. From the FP addendum thread;

You can check before it makes you cancel. I just tested to make sure it’s still like that.

I think if you just start from the beginning at choose FP, click on todays date and choose HS as the park. When you get the warning click "keep this guest" and you should be good to go. I believe that's how it works. Hopefully.

Exactly. I should be able to check for FPs by starting from scratch. Selecting +, then date, then park, then keep this guest. Except that I DON’T have an option to keep the guests. Only option is to remove each guest or I can’t click on next. That’s it.

On the positive side, with some constant refreshing I was able to get a 3:30 Soarin. I got it around 1:00, after trying for something better than 6:40 since11:30ish. I can’t tell if it’s due to the changes or spring break crowds.

I haven’t updated my app yet after hearing the mixed reviews on the new design, but the refreshing is taking several seconds to load each time. Is that because I’m on the old app, or is there a refresh lag time on the new one as well?

I was just playing on the app about 30 minutes ago. I did not have lag issues (that I had early this AM). I have the new version.

Back to normal today, very good day at AK with getting additional FP! We could get anything for a group of 3 at early afternoon times with the exception of FOP.

Hmmm... I don't know, I just tried it and you have to choose to either keep the guest, or remove guest from party. So what I see on screen is that there are 2 boxes each with a guest. Within those 2 boxes are 2 options; Keep this guest OR Remove Guest from party. You must choose one of the two options for each guest, and then you go on. Either choice will not delete a prior FP until everything is finalized. So, if you want to check a different park, you pick which guests want that other park and pick "keep." If you have someone who wants to keep their former FP you pick "Remove." So, on my example, I chose to keep me, and chose to remove the other guest, then it lets me continue.

If you are not seeing a choice to "Keep this guest" then there's a glitch in whatever ap or browser you are using. And, at the very beginning after hitting add fast pass, it shows the screen to pick my party, then date, then park.

I have the old app and my refresh seems to be taking the same amount of time it always has, I get a circle that comes up and it goes around 1 & 1/2 times if that is any way for you to measure yours.

edit and now I did it again and it didn't even take the full circle. But hey I'm on wi-fi and my kid is on his playstation, so that is probably affecting me, now that I think about it.

I have had a ridiculous lag in the app all day (like 5 secs per refresh). That's on an iPhone with the latest updated MDE app. It's crazy. Much worse than it's ever worked before. I switched to a browser (Chrome) and it behaves normally (1-2 secs per refresh). Back to the app and it lags again. Very annoying.

Thanks to everyone who tested and called and gave feedback over the past couple days! Our trip isn’t until early 2020, but refreshing for FP is so helpful for us in minimizing wait times with little ones and typically requires very little effort.

Happy to see this wasn’t an intentional change. (And yes, I know they might switch to paid FP by the time our trip rolls around but I’m basically ignoring that rumor right now.)

So happy it’s all back to normal!

For those that were critical of people doing testing, concerned that they were “taking FP opportunities from people in the parks”...

Look at all of these thank you comments flooding in now. Our testers on the DIS are a drop in the bucket in the grand scheme of FPs available but their work is TREMENDOUSLY appreciated by people preparing for future trips. AND (while this probably isn’t actually accurate) I’d like to think that all the immediate feedback these guys provide to Disney IT is what got this fixed so quickly (again I acknowledge that probably isn’t true).

Thank you testers! Thank you for helping us to understand how things are working! For those of us without APs, we are very grateful for you guys taking the time to do this!!
