MCO Security Lines - Continental

Anyone know about how long a wait can I expect to get thru security on a Tuesday morning (arriving around 10:30am for a noon flight), flying Continental (if that matters)?

That's cutting it close. They start boarding at 11:30 for your flight so you will have less than a hour to get to the gate. They want you there 15 mins before they start boarding.

Personally, I am not getting to MCO any less than 2 hours before my flight. I would much rather get there with time to spare versus feeling rushed to get to the gate. Too many people come running up to find the plane still there but the doors are closed...... as safetymom said, arrive at least 15 minutes before flight and boarding begins about 30 minutes before flight. Security at MCO can be horrible.......

pretty dumb question, but, I'm wondering. Do you all go thru the security detector with your paper money and credit cards in your pockets? I've always taken my money and credit cards out and put them in a side pocket of a bag on the conveyer. Do the magnetic strips on credit cards set off the bells?

You can keep your wallet in your pocket. The magnetic strips won't set anything off.

Good idea.. You may breeze right thru security, but at MCO you can EASILY get stuck in the security line..

Made it there and back with no problems. Got to to the airport around 10:10am, made it thru the bag check-in in about 5 minutes and then took about another 5 minutes to get thru security.

Sweet, nice to hear that it was smooth as silk for ya! Granted you got to sit around a while, but you were there and ready to go!

Glad to hear it went smoothly but it isn't always like that. Better to be past security than wishing you were.
