Isn't it so easy to see our favorite candidate as being unfairly attacked and all the others as having the benefit of the media's favor, and to then believe everything that is being said about them. Boil it all down and it's politics as usual, which I am sick to death of.
Personally, I won't vote for Ms Clinton. Certainly not because she's a woman but because of her record. I feel she has flipped and flopped right along with public opinion. Whatever the polls say is what she believes and talks about, and votes. She has great excuses when her past votes don't line up with current public opinion, but other than a few issues she's been all over the place with her views. She has also expressed what I feel is a sense of entitlement of ending up with the democratic nomination - if not the Presidency itself - since way back when her husband was still president. How many times have we heard "it's my turn", "it's Hillary's turn"...... I've lost count, and I guess it's obvious some of you agree.
I won't vote for McCain either. He's too close in philosophy to Bush. I think he's more liberal on some points but I can't like what the Republicans have done to our economy or how they've handled the war, and I just feel it would be more of the same.
As for Mr Obama, ??. I concede he doesn't have as much experience but there's part of me that thinks that could be an advantage. I don't like where our country has headed the last 20 years or the way things have been handled, I think I think I might be ready for a big change.
I think it is ridiculous that the media continues to find people around him and accuse him of believing exactly what they do. Yes, he may carry some guilt by association but even when he shows by word and/or action that he does not believe or live by the things the others have preached, done or said he is still blamed for them.
This has gone to the point that some Christian people are blaming him for what Oprah is doing on her show. If she is moving toward new age ideas then he must be too. So be scared!!! Because she is uber influential! And he allowed her to campaign for him. How could he possibly think for himself!

I have received the same email about this over and over. In my mind it's ridiculous.
I was very intrigued by a
youtube I saw recently that showed how young minority people are responding to his run for the presidency. It brought to mind what has been explained to me at church as "privilege" - things we take for granted that really give us major advantage over others. I was quite inspired by this idea. If his presidency could give hope to millions of Americans who now feel they have little or none... it might be a very good idea. Check this out:

If we as Americans can truly look at a man and say his race makes him qualified or unqualified for any position in our country then we haven't make much progress in the last 50 years. Isn't it time we break the barrier of color and make everyone in our country feel like it is truly their possibility to become whatever they set their mind to become?
I'm sure you all have genuine reasons for why you back your candidate, that's certainly you're right. But I'm thinking I'll give real change a chance.
