McAfee Security Center - Scheduling Scans

Can anyone help? I have MSC on my new computer and I think that everything seems to be set up. But what I am missing is where you have a full system virus scan schedules for every week - or however often you want. I am sure that I must be just missing how to do this.

Can anyone tell me how to do this? TIA!

I think I have an older version. Mine is under virus scan.. I want to... configure virus scan options. Keep in mind if you chose ie, 1am and you shut the puter off before, it will do it when you start up.

I check my other puter, on that one it is under ... common task... maintain computer... task schedule

I just checked and the only things that they give me under Maintain Computer are schedules for Disc Defrag and Quick Clean.

Is there anyone else running this program who could help me out?

I just realized that Gateway's name is on this version of McAfee (this is an eMachine and I guess they are made by Gateway? ). Wonder if that makes any difference?

Sorry that didn't help, it is there somewhere! I use this awesome site for all puter stuff... I bet if you ask they will be able to help you, maybe post under security board or software

For mine I right click on the red "M" in my tray, select Virus Scan-options and then there is a tab on the right for scheduled scans and you can set a day and time that way. I would assume we have the same version since it is a subscription service and automatically updates.

Well, you would THINK that we would have the same thing, but I have a feeling that we don't since this seems to be a program specific for Gateway users. I really had to dig to find this and the tab that I found was on the left, but FINALLY I see that it is by default scheduled to scan on Fridays at 4 AM.
