Anyone care to share if their MB+ gave them more problems, issues, ect in the parks or at your resort verses your MB 2?
I have read some reports that the newest version was much more trouble.

No problems whatsoever. Other than needing to recharge the new one, we've never had issues with any MagicBand from V1 to +. My wife often let her MB+ die (didn't charge it) and it still worked flawlessly as it was supposed to (functioning as an earlier version MB). So no issues at all with any of our MBs.

I used MB+ for 2 trips and I really didn't like it - I hated they I had another thing that needed to be charged and I really didn't like it buzzing and lighting up all day long - there is enough going on in the parks that I just don't need that going on on my wrist! I went back to using my old MBs which still work just fine. If you don't mind charging things and you like buzzing and blinging on your wrist constantly, than the new ones will work too.

I haven't had any issues with the MB+. I made sure it was fully charged everyday before heading to the parks just to be safe.

Boy it’s been way too long since I had my AP lol. Haven’t been since 2019 and plan on buying passes this week. Is there a thread up explaining the different types of MBs? We have about 10 each but they are the old regular ones. Will those still work?

Found info on new bands but what are the differences between 2.0 and mb+
+ has new features, it lights up during shows and you can use it to interact with some attractions and statues. Honestly there's a lot of room for improvement as far as the interactions go.

What’s the difference between a regular mb and the mb 2.0?

There is a bounty hunter game in Galaxy Edge that you need MB+ for. They are also starting to use MB+ on the cruise ships too (Wish & Fantasy). If the charge is gone on MB+ , it will act like the a regular band so you can still open door, etc .

I bought the Halloween one marked down post season then used a discount code paying like 15 bucks.

What’s the difference between a regular mb and the mb 2.0?
The original MB--what you're calling the regular one--was narrower but thicker. I'm not really sure it did anything differently from MB 2.0, but 2.0 is made of a thinner material, although the center area, where the puck is, is larger.

With the MB 2.0, unlike "regular," you can take out the center puck and wear it on a lanyard or a clip, things you can't do with the original MB.

Yes I guess I was thinking the 2.0 was a different one altogether. Thanks everyone for the responses.

The plus is fun but not comfortable to wear like the 2.0

It’s very clunky on my small wrist and I lost it day 1. Never lost a MB before that.

I still have original MBs and I'm pretty sure they work. I haven't gotten a + yet. The 2.0 version is already kinda too big for my small wrist.

This is the impression I get just by looking at them. Big and clunky. Plus, they cost more money.

I have all the versions of MB starting from when they were just testing them at certain resorts up to and including the +. I have a very small wrist and have to take all of them down to the child's version but have not had any issues with the + falling off or being too clunky. I really don't notice the difference in the sizes of any of them but it might be because since I am small I'm used to just about everything being large on me.

Only issue with the older ones would be the internal battery dies after a while. With a dead battery the tap functions (opening doors, scan for entry) still work but things like ride photos and your name showing up on screens no longer work.
