I visited Disney World is 2005 and we had the trip of a lifetime there. I have always wanted to make scrapbook from our pictures but have never gotten around to it. So here it is 2 years later and I'm finally ready to do it. I'm brand new to scrapbooking, this will be my first one, and I fear I have waited too long. I desperately want a specific album, but I can't find it anywhere. I've tried e-bay and found a few that I will settle for if I have to, but I'm hoping this last ditch effort will help me with what I'm looking for.

When I was at WDW they had this beautiful, large, red scrapbook album with the fab five on the front and "2005" on it. I love, love, love this album and really want it. Is there anywhere that might have this album? Maybe a Disney overstock, or something? Two years later I'm still kicking myself for not buying that book while I was there. I just wonder what do they do with dated merchandise that has not sold? Surely, there must have been some left over. Any ideas?

Thanks :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

I have looked on e-bay. They have one or two that I'll settle for. I just wish I could find "that one". Lesson learned, though. If you see it at the Resort and want it, buy it! I won't make that mistake again.

I don't have any info on that album--but I will tell you that some of the albums that are available in the parks are darn near impossible to find refill pages for. My advice is to maybe find an album at a craft store and then embellish the cover to your liking. You can find so many rub-ons and such at your LSS and also you could add the date with those.

Yes, you are sure right about that. I have the red 2005 album. I never found refills to fit. I ended up throwing away the page protecotrs it came with--half of them ripped anyway. I don't remeber what I used, but it really doesn't fit preoperly. I also converted it to a strap hinge. It was very diffult to work with. I didn't buy one on this last trip because of my experience with that one.

I bought a 3-ring style one this past trip and it's far better than the post-bound ones they have.

For the future if 3-ring isn't an option, I'll buy an American Crafts plain cover 3-ring and work with that (and decorate the cover to my liking)

I'm sorry to hear some of you had troubles with the red album. I have to say though, it makes me feel better about not being able to find it :rotfl: I love the idea of customizing my own cover. I think that's what I'll do. Thank you! I came here for help, and help you did :goodvibes :goodvibes

Creative Memories do a red album with a black Mickey silhouette - I know they personalise ordinary albums (but not oever here ) so maybe they could put the year on for you? Have you tried "Laughing Place"? They sometimes have older stock.
