MAYbe we should go back to Disney World-A May 2012 PTR;6/7 Link to TR-Post#592; p. 40

I am totally in! I love WDW in May! Our anniversary is in May, so I'm determined to have a 2nd honeymoon there one year! :lovestruc

Please don't tell my TR readers that I haven't done another update because I was busy reading all 19 pages here. :rolleyes1
:lmao::rotfl2:

Loving your PTR! Looking forward to more!

P.S. I'd love to do a Sweet 16 at WDW for my DD! I hope I get the chance (translation: I hope she loves WDW then as much as she does now)! :cloud9:

I'm glad you're here! I've had so much fun reading your trip report. You're such a good writer! ---Hope I don't bore you too much!

Our anniversary is in May too---the 18th! This year will be 22 years for us!

Hopefully your DD will still love Disney as much as she does now! Keep the love going by taking those trips! ;)

Our next Disney trip was in May 2010. This also happens to be the last time we were at Disney World. This trip was our fourth trip within a year’s time, and the last with our Aps. Kevin and I had our 20th wedding anniversary four days before our trip, so we celebrated our anniversary during this trip too!

Since we had Aps, I got an AP rate for the resort, and we decided to go back to the Epcot area. Since we had stayed at Yacht Club for our December trip, we decided to try the Beach Club. We were there from May 22-29.

We loved the Beach Club, with its fabulous pool, and the location is great! Walking over to Epcot, or riding the boat over to the Studios is fantastic! We loved being able to walk over to World Showcase any time we wanted just to hear the Voices of Liberty---They are DH’s FAVE and mine too! :goodvibes

IMG_1026.jpg

During this trip, I had my first ever DIS meet.

IMG_1052.jpg

I met racefanof88 (Dana), cinderella crazy (Alicia), leamom2princesses (Leanne), and MaryAz (Mary)…Hope I didn’t leave anyone out! After planning and talking together here on the DIS, I enjoyed meeting these ladies!

IMG_1049.jpg

We spent six full days/seven nights enjoying our time at Disney World.

If you’ve been reading all my recaps, you may remember the picture of my two girls walking toward the castle. Here’s (nearly) the same shot, nine years later!

Since we had an AP discount for our room, and the huge expense of tickets already covered with our passes, I splurged and added on the dining plan. There was a whole lot of good eating on this trip! :thumbsup2

I had another “mini” DIS meet here---Got to meet ladybugmom (Becky) on this day! Loved meeting and getting to talk to her and her family! :)

Kona Café:

IMG_1665.jpg

We used two credits for something we had never tried---the Hoop-De-Do Revue! We absolutely LOVED this!

IMG_1601.jpg

IMG_1625.jpg

Kevin and I ate at Yachtsman Grill for an anniversary dinner, but unfortunately we were not that impressed with this dinner. We both thought the steaks we had at Kona were much better than the ones here.

IMG_1712.jpg

Since we were staying at Beach Club, we decided we needed to attempt to devour the “Kitchen Sink”!!

IMG_1528.jpg

IMG_1529.jpg

We were not successful! BUT, we enjoyed trying! ;)

I have LOTS more pictures, but I won’t post them all or tell you every detail of the trip. I did write a Trip Report for the May 2010 trip---link is in my signature line---if you care to read more!

We enjoyed our week at Disney World. We had beautiful weather, and wonderful memories of the trip.

Another great recap. That's cool you got to meet a bunch of fellow DISers.

Ahhh, you guys got the kitchen sink! I want to try one of those some day but I would need about 20 people to help me eat it all.

Hello:wave: I've been reading your PTR, but now don't remember if I've commented yet:headache: Have loved it so far though!!!
The picture of your girls going down Main Street is so sweet, esp since you have one of them younger too. The Boardwalk Room is gorgeous! Teppan Edo looks like fun, and I admire the attempt on the Kitchen Sink (one day I'll try it too ;) )
My last trip to WDW was a month later than yours, but it almost killed me not to go back last year ;) It's worth it though to get to go with my nieces and see it all again with new eyes!
Thanks for having me along :goodvibes

I think I may have to add "attempt to finish The Kitchen Sink" to my Disney Bucket List!

That last photo of the castle with fireworks behind it... wow, what a shot!

Great update! On your very first Dis-meet, you met 3 of my very favorite ladies, Leanne, Dana and Mary! I love these ladies! Great friendships formed because of these Boards....aren't we lucky?

I know I've said it before but I have to say it again! You have such a beautiful family and you genuinely look like you have fun together! I really hope we get a chance to say hi in May!

Thank you! :goodvibes Your PTR is very entertaining! I LOVE the pictures, especially the scanned ones, since my first ever WDW visit was 2009 -- and I knew nothing then. :lmao:

That's so awesome that our anniversaries are so close!!! Ours is the 19th, and DH's BFF married on May 21st (of last year -- and had a Disneymoon that we crashed since we had already made our reservations before they set their wedding date :rotfl2:).

I hope neither of my kids will outgrow their love for Disney! (And I'm happy that DH has agreed we can go back in 2013 ... just need to decide "when"!)

As of right now, "attempting" the Kitchen Sink is on our To Do list for this trip. We'll see how we feel as the week goes on.

We were there May 2010 as well! It was my youngest DD's first trip. She had just turned one.

We just added another day to our trip, so I'm super excited. I am starting to collect all of the clothes that we are taking into one area of the house so that I can start working on filling in.

If it were up to me, we'd leave right now!

Hi Michelle! I've been getting caught up on all of your updates (I've been seriously slacking as a DISer recently :sad2:). I LOVE the picture of the girls walking up to the castle. That is such a touching image. :cloud9: Love the kitchen sink pictures as well. In my opinion, that's one of the best things about staying at the BC!

Looks like it was a great trip with LOTS of good eats :) LOL

I wonder how many it would take to actually FINISH the kitchen sink. b/c I havn't actually heard anyone say that they have.

May 2010 is the last time we were at the World, too!

OMG, the Kitchen Sink looks AMAZING. How big a dent did you make in it? We so have to try that someday...

Love your latest trip down memory lane. Great dining choices. Fantastic resort!

Your MK pictures are wonderful. I love the one of all of you in front of the castle, the one with the two girls and the fireworks.

How fun that you tried the Kitchen Sink!

I have definitely heard mixed reviews about the Yachtsman. We ate at Captain's Grille and really liked it there.

So the upcoming trip is going to be the first time at Sci Fi for the guys! They're gonna love it!

I have to check out that TR. When I am caught up on mine and everyone else's!!! :lmao::rolleyes1

I read your whole PTR the other day, but forgot to comment/subscribe! I'm here now, though! Love it!!

In June 2013, we are doing a Cruise on the Dream, and I am hoping/planning to stay at Poly for our first time for two nights before the trip! I'm hoping to surprise DH with the club level for his birthday. . .oh boy, keeping a secret for over a year. . .ok, I'll try!!

Loving following along with your trip!

That's the Dis Meet that we didn't get to attend because we came in a day later! Phooey! I do see some familiar faces in the bunch though.

Woah...that Kitchen Sink looks huge! I know that I could never get my bunch to try it....too many toppings for our picky eaters.

I think it would take about 20 people to finish one off! ;) But it's fun trying---You should get one!

Glad you're following along! :)

I know what you mean about not going back last year. I hated not going back, but I think it's made my family be really excited for this trip!

I see you have a PTR--I'm going over to check it out when I finish here!

That last photo of the castle with fireworks behind it... wow, what a shot!

Thanks! :) I can't take the credit for it though. DH took that one--He's the real photographer in the family!

I loved meeting all these ladies! Lots of fun conversations, even now two years later!

Thank you so much-That is so sweet of you to say! I hope we can meet in person sometime during our trips too! :)

I'm hoping to book a bounceback while we're there in May! ;)

I understand! I'm at 55 days, and I can't stand it! :)

Definitely try the Kitchen Sink---It's a fun way to cool off and you can't help but laugh when it comes out to your table!

Oh, Courtney-I completely understand how life gets in the way of DISing sometimes! Hopefully things will calm down for you soon. I love your updates, so I'm going to need one soon! :)

I wonder how many it would take to actually FINISH the kitchen sink. b/c I havn't actually heard anyone say that they have.

 I don't know how many people it would take, but I'll volunteer to be part of the group that attempts it!

I have always wanted one of those Mickey lifeguard lamps back there on that table.
I wish they would sell them.
And I hope if they ever decide to, they'll be a reasonable price. ;)

Just for you, MeMom!

OMG, the Kitchen Sink looks AMAZING. How big a dent did you make in it? We so have to try that someday...

It was so good! :thumbsup2 I thought I had a picture of it after we had finished, but couldn't find one. It felt as if we had eaten almost the entire thing, but in reality, it was probably about half of it. Still good anyway!

Love your latest trip down memory lane. Great dining choices. Fantastic resort!

Thanks! :)

I knew you would approve of that trip's resort. ;) I really hated that we didn't enjoy Yachtsman. I had read so much about it and was really looking forward to it. We paid OOP for that meal, and it just didn't do it for me.

Yep, first time for the guys at Sci-Fi. I think they're going to love it too!

Glad you're here! :)

I think you will love the Poly! Too bad it's not DVC, right? I don't think I'd ever be able to keep a secret for that long. I hope you have better luck! :thumbsup2

.

That's right, Lisa! You weren't at that meet, but I believe there was another one planned later in the week that you probably made it to. We didn't make it to that second one because we were in a different park and had a dining reservation I think.

We need to get one organized for this trip!
