May Planning Question

Hi all...

We're going to be making our first reservation this week

Can someone recommend where I could go to research events & whatnot happening at the parks in May? We want to try to choose a somewhat quiet week (hoping to avoid grad nights, etc.) but of course the calendar isn't up yet.

We did DLR this year May 8-12 and it was a good week. I am tentatively considering May 4-10. Does anyone know of anything happening that week that would make me want to avoid that week?

I'd appreciate any advice anyone can provide.

The Flower & Garden Festival will be on, so WDW is absolutely beautiful! We were there at that time this past May and it was lovely. F & G is at Epcot, so the other parks aren't impacted very much.
I wouldn't call the parks "empty" but it's a fairly quiet time at WDW (relatively speaking ).
It's a good time to go.

We'll be there May 1 - 5th...The Flower and Garden show is wonderful, and we have always enjoyed the Flower Power Concerts!

Thank you both! That's actually WONDERFUL news. My 6 year old is obsessed with flowers. We are thinking he will be a landscape architect, as he loves to draw gardens.

It sounds like the perfect time for us to go.

That's great news about your son. There usually is a children's play ground, a butterfly building and there were Florida wildflower seeds to bring home and plant.

My mother and I are going to be there May 3-8. We had the same concerns as you. We didn't want it to be to crowded and mom didn't want it to be too hot, so we opted for the begning of the month. We are looking forward to some of the Flower and Garden exhibits and lectures.

Grad Nights next year will be in April 18-19 and April 25-26, 2008. Epcot will have the Flower & Garden festival going. And if you go later in May, you might be able to attend Star Wars Weekends (they're usually in late May, but this year it didn't happen until June).

We plan on going in May. I'm glad to hear grad week won't be while we are there.
